Rand Paul explains why the Patriot Act is a threat to the U.S. Constitution.

The USSC had a chance to throw it out...they didnt..and instead upheld it.

Oh and Rand Paul pals around with traitors..namely..Adam Kokesh...
In case anyone doesnt know who the TRAITOR Kokesh is:

Winter soldier.
I still like him better than the Democrat
BTW..if you have any doubts what winter soldier was about
Here’s that is too:

There is no doubt...kokesh is a flamming libtard...
It always amazes me when libertarians suggle up to libtards...and how easily libtards can infiltrate the libertarians...
So I guess Rand Paul thinks that if we wake up one morning and it is then 300,000 Americans dead or even 3 million due to the fact that we took his weak National Security position then that will not be a threat to our Constitution? Both Rand and Ron are Code Pink type kooks.
How come Bush didn’t close the border after 9/11 or move to halt immigration from Muslim countries? How does the Dept of Homeland Security groping old ladies in airports, the NSA reading everyone’s email, or Janet Napolitano in the Walmart checkout telling people to spy on their neighbors lane suppose to stop professional terrorists?
Traitor? You should get together with Bill Maher. You two could shout “traitor” at each other until your faces turn red. But seriously.....if you are looking for “traitors” (to the Bill of Rights) you are more likely to find them among those who support the so-called Patriot Act.
Kokesh also was a troll here for a while. It was fun to watch REAL retired Marines rip up this nancy-boy.
Profile, profile, profile - and stop groping old ladies!
Parts of the Patriot Act are blatently unconstitutional and should be of concern to all liberty-loving Americans. Under this act, law enforcement is able to write their own search warrants (hello, Fourth Amendment!!!) and stifle free speech by ordering someone who has received a search warrant to remain quiet and not tell anyone (hello, First Amendment.)
I supported the Patriot Act at first like many, but after learning the provisions, I am disgusted at what Congress and the Bush put forth. The concern for abuse of these provisions was not a big issue under Bush—we didn’t hear about any abuses, but with the current administration and its brown shirts, we face a clear and present danger to our constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Andrew Napolitano speaks eloquently of the Patriot Act and its assault on the constitution.
I think there’s enough room in Conservative thought for both positions to have merit.
In a perfect world, I agree with Rand Paul...I also understand we have a far from perfect world. The saying “Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither” is a very conservative one
That said, in a conservative society that would support that approach would also not balk at profiling or other politically-correct crap that prevents us from being safe in the interest of respecting a culture that’s out to destroy us.
I didn’t suggest a blank check and I am all for having debates or discussions about the Patriot Act and the specifics of it but both Pauls and Code Pink as well have taken positions against anything and everything that is attempted to prevent another attack. The as well we have heard Rand’s whack-job father defend Iran’s right to a nuclear bomb, take a position on weaking our military by granting perversion rights, supported the Victory mosque at Ground Zero, etc...
Issues of National Security will never be easy in regards to how they interact with liberty being that they deal with life or death issues but to dismiss National Security is in my opinion against liberty for when the day comes that we see 3 million dead Americans in a terrorist attack our liberty will be gone.
The “Patriot Act” is a perfect fit for a “war on terror” strategy which only goes after the enemy’s foot soldiers, while being scrupulously careful not to bother the nations which supply their ideology and their weapons.
So now I have to take on every other National Security issue as well? I thought this was about the Patriot Act?
Bush is not a conservative at all when it comes to the border, we all know that. The TSA issue is a joke now but of course there should be security at airports.
The NSA is not reading everyone’s e-mails. You are using left-wing talking points.
I had this argument with some FReetard after Obama was selected and even pointed him to a news story about Bush overstepping the bounds of the P.A. and how the Obama admin was FAR overstepping those same bounds.
To paraphrase the response - That doesn't prove anything. Whatever you do, don't let an objection over left wing talking points get in the way of using a right wing one.
Ron Paul is wrong on somethings but right on most. I fear the Patriot act more than I fear the terrorists.
