Former Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell has re-entered the headlines. The Delaware native has recently announced that she has signed a book deal after her defeat in the Senate race last year. In that election, Miss O'Donnell polled 40% in a largely blue state. O'Donnell gained much traction with many conservatives last year after Mark Levin and other radio hosts endorsed her over Representative Mike Castle for the nomination. The primary in September gained national attention and saw O'Donnell beating Castle 53-47%.
Now O'Donnell is back in the spotlight, saying that the White House had pegged her as the number one target in the 2010 midterms. This has come out in an email circulated from her to her supporters. This also comes after frequent ridicule by Democrats and the media.

Yes, she and Angle were prime targets.
They were the low-hanging fruit, as the results proved.
And you know what, every conservative that supported her over Mike Castle was vindicated in the lame duck session of Congress that followed the election. We all got to see exactly the type of senator that Castle would have been.
Top target? Or fat target?
Didn't matter. She never had a chance in that state, anyway.
Yes, she was the top target because she would be seated immediately as a replacement for Joe Biden. She woulod have been the 42 vote in the senate.
She had to be defeated.
After running off the road to ruin in November Obama and the MSM combined with wimpy Republicans have got us back on track.
I don’t know if Christine knows her victory in the primary wasn’t based on hopes she was going to win the general. It was about expunging RINOs wherever possible.
As such, she served her purpose well in the campaign. Now, if she harbors any ideas about running for office again, she should start local and prove her abilities at that level and go from there.
What?
Whom did you instead support in the recent Delaware election?
What? Lame.
Sorry, I meant “unelectable.”
I donated to her campaign and wish she would have won. Karl Rove, you know the guy who’s going to make sure a RINO is our nominee yet again, he showed us where the GOP stands.
fat target? are you talking moochelle cheeseburger?
“Didn’t matter. She never had a chance in that state, anyway.”
If she had been a better candidate she could have won, despite the media ridicule. I don’t have anything against her per se - but she was not a quality candidate.
Wow, that’s profound. There is no need for comments like that. Could have said the same about paladino, but preferred not to say it. There is a purpose for candidates to run, even if they don’t win. When I was young I helped in the campaign for goldwater. What came from that was a great president in ronald reagan, think positive instead of lame.
In terms of profundity, equating O’Donnell with Goldwater is . . . .
Christine O’Donnell: I Was MSM Top Target.
Laughable....
Where ELSE could Biden be sent to campaign where it would have helped, other than his home state?
And sending Obama was to associate him with a win; Democratic candidates elsewhere in the country were terrified of having Obama sent to “help” them.
She lost by 16 points to a non-entity in an atmosphere where Democrats were getting massacred left and right.
Yes. It was worth a great deal to get Mike Castle out of there. He is well to the left of most Democrats, the darling of the corrupt Republican establishment in Delaware.
Somehow or other we need to weed out that establishment. No way we can ever flip that state without getting rid of the corrupt losers and crooks who run the party there. They were at least as responsible as Obama for O’Donnell’s loss.
Presumably that will require a revolt among Delaware Republicans. But it would also help if we could rid ourselves of Karl Rove and the insiders at the national level who continue to lend them their support.
