I spent much of Sunday in tears. The replaying of his Normandy speech, “The Speech” and other sound bites, the first person accounts of President Reagans integrity and optimism on Patriot Radio and my own cherished memories of having served in the Navy with this great man as CIC.
I worry that my children (2 of whom are in the middle east as I write) will never know the wonder of serving a country that deserves them.
Then today I see this speech. Thank you so much Onyx and Al B. I’m in tears again, this time with hope and optimism that there is still a light out there. There is a person who loves this country, who will sacrifice for this country, who will love my children in the military and never take them for granted. If Sarah doesn’t run, we’ll all be the worse for it.
