What the Egyptians did was called rioting, looting, and burning.
When did the Tea party do that? They didn’t, but good try at trying to create that ‘perception’.
Then how does anyone explain past revolutions or protests which happened before the days of social media and the internet and 24/7 cable news channels?
Egypt could end up to be Obama’s version of Jimmy Carter and Iran. We don’t know how it’s going to end. But, it’s absurd to somehow say the Tea party protests inspired what’s going on in Egypt.
Remember Egypt was where Obama made his famous speech of outreach to the Muslim world. If these protests turns anti-western and anti-American, Obama will find that the outreach failed miserably.
Yeah, the Tea Party wants to invade Canada and permanently close the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Yeah... righT!!!!
lol
Oh, please. The TEA Party gatherings center on FREEDOM. Muslims have no concept of freedom. Never once at a TEA Party rally have we ever seen overturning of cars, burning of buildings and wanton violence. TEA Party rallies are hopeful and positive. The riots in Egypt are angry and tense.
There’s absolutely no correlation whatsoever.
With one of the fifty-seven states in turmoil I guess it's time for Lil’ Barry to declare a national state of emergency to keep it from spreading to the rest of the states.
Like it or not, people elswhere who desire FREEDOM look up to America and those who seek to stand up for what is right, and with the help of the internet, they watch tea party rallies be it on the national or local levels.
Also, they said we're too stupid to inspire anyone.
Oh, and very, very few of us lit ourselves on fire. In fact, I think the total number of self-immolations was less than one.
It was George W. Bush's fault.
Obvious Troll is Obvious.....
Before whathisname over at Little Green Footballs went loony, he used to have an ongoing schtick called “Palestinian Car Swarm Watch.” They didn’t learn that from the Tea Party... that’s just the Islamofascist way of life. See a car, flip it over and set it on fire. Score!
No — they learned from the American LEFT. Glenn Beck has already detailed the connections. Laying this to the Tea Parties ignores the differences in tactics and tone.
My response is that I am not surprised by the protests. I had listened in the overnight to Coast To Coast AM on what has been going on and I have heard that the number of people who are under the age of 40 is about close to half if not half the country. Plus many, many of these younger people have before the shutting down of the internet last week have been going online, seeing the videos of different rallies, it could very well be possible that since on YouTube there are a LOT of TP rally videos as well as well as Facebook is used to communicate. They also see how better off others are and this causes them to get resentful.
I have also heard that those Egyptian police forces who are the most supportive of Mubarak who have been doing the violent attacks causing the deaths, damage, and looting in the same show. These are not the ones who simply took their uniforms off.
As for the Muslim Brotherhood, I am still doing a lot of learning on them and if there is a MAJOR takeover of the government, then this is going to be very, very bad for not only Egypt, but Israel, the rest of the Middle East and rest of the world as well.
Like you, I wish nothing but the very best to the everyday Egyptians who want simply to have President Mabarak step down, but also it could very well not end in a good or sucessful manner.
Like it or not, the rest of the world watches us via the internet.
The writer of that article would benefit from reading it over for errors before posting it.
A reminder of how the internet has bridged the world.
A Bridge Too Far.
Way, waaaaaay too far.
That settles it then. If Jack Cafferty covers it....uh, who’s Jack Cafferty?
