Camp 1. Those who believe that in order to be a Natural Born citizen, one's parents must both be citizens at the time of one's birth.
Camp 1a. Some in Camp 1 ALSO believe that the birth to the two American citizens must occur on American soil.
Camp 2: A substantial number of Americans believes that anyone born in The United States is a Natural Born Citizen. They quote the 14th Amendment as their main legal weapon and reference Wong Kim Ark so often I feel I know the guy. In fact I would have loved to have met him, have congratulated him on becoming a naturalized American citizen, and to have told him that he is ineligible to run for the Presidency.
The President and his Team obviously belong to Camp 2. Team Obama has never said that The Mombasa Moonbeam is a Natural Born Citizen. They take great pains to point out that he was "born in Hawaii," and is a "NATIVE Born Citizen."
It took Team Obama $2 or $3 million, but they have succeeded in convincing many that the word "NATURAL," means the exact same thing as the word "NATIVE." Of course, it cannot be proven that he is an Hawaiian NATIVE. And it can't exactly be dis-proven, either. If you're a Camp 1 camper, that birth Certificate would make him a Native, not a Natural
We need a court to tell us who is right and who is wrong. If one state Attorney General who had any interest in the vexing question, had the nerve, he or she could throw Obama off their state ballot for 2012 on constitutional grounds, forcing Team Obama to sue. That will get us all in court without any issues of "standing, " or jurisdiction.
This has to be done or we are all going to go nuts. Obama aside, this is a constitutional question that has to be settled. 1 State AG. Please.
