Surrrrrrre, cause ALL soldiers who meet a 19 year old dude in Wakiki, run back to the barracks to get photos, so they can rush back to town and show the guy they just met.

First off, I wasn’t a soldier, I am a Marine.
Second, having just been halfway across the world and participated in one of the world’s most famous events, the hostage Rescue Attempt, as a distant observer at that, I remember being quite excited and also SHOCKED that I had just met a guy who tells me he was born in Mombassa!
But, if it sounds like I dropped everything and went back to the barracks, no, it would have been the next day or so, our base was over 18 miles away or so and took over 45 minutes to drive by bus then, so, no, I didnt drop everything and go back to base, i did it the next day or so.
My friends actual response, was a lot closer to FORGET HIM, not a polite one of, Gosh, dont have the time.
