Mike Evans, the celebrity journalist/friend of Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie who claimed the Governor told him that there was no Barack Obama birth certificate, is now claiming he "misspoke." Jana Winter of Fox News reports:
Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama's birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.

I still chuckle over what Clinton's former primary opponent said about him-- "He'd rather climb a mountain to broadcast a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth." He was a forgettable guy from Nebraska and I've already forgotten who he was.
I listened to that interview at least twice. Evans was very articulate and easy to understand. He said in no uncertain terms that Abercrombie told him all this stuff. That would have to have been a deliberate lie and I’m not buying that a trained journalist would ever make that kind of mistake. He got a phone call from somebody scary.

This is hysterical. When someone says they “misspoke” it usually means a slip of the tongue. I listned to the radio interview recording, this guy repeated over and over again that Abercrombie told him that there was no BC. The radio host even asked questions about this, now Evans says he “misspoke”!
Yeah, he misspoke for about 5 minutes. Someone clearly, in no uncertain terms, has threatened Evans or Evan’s career.
Every state needs to pass in 2011 a eligibility requirement for a Presidential Candidate to have a long form and historical date sheet filed before they can be put on a ballot in that state’s primary and general election. If this occured it would eliminate Obummer from running.
Kris Kobach of Kansas will hopefully get this taken care of in Kansas with the help of the state legislature.

Heard him on the radio this morning. The guy has guts, facts and a great presentation. No wonder you never see him interviewed by the MSM

But such a supposition presupposes a journalists would be willing to make himself look like a lying moron in order to make others look foolish for believing him. Evans didn’t just appear to give an impression, he outright stated that the Governor told him something, and now he is saying that he lied. Would a man in a profession in which credibility is essential sacrifice his credibility in this way?
Evans appears to me to be trying to put toothpaste back into the tube. The timing, coming a day after his comments received wide publicity via AT and subsequent media, suggests a visit by someone threatening dire consequences.”

Having experienced that myself when I tried to expose local corruption it goes almost exactly like that
Is this the guy who signed an affidavit?
Or was that a different one who used to work for the Hawaii records department?
I also listened to the interview several times . There is no “misquote”, he was probably telling the truth, unfortunately for him obama is not allowing the truth to be released. obama is a Chicago politician,he knows how to put pressure on people. Evan’s was probably threatened with being blacklisted and never work again. He is willing to sell out his nation for a few pieces of silver.
