We have to be honest folks, Fox news has been drifting further and further left over the past several years.
The natural instinct of most conservatives is to defend the channel that the far left attacks on a daily basis.
A similar occurrence came during the eight years of the Bush administration, where the left was viscous, conservatives defended as we witnessed a president advance a very liberal agenda.
My point is that the formula that who the left hates and goes after is not necessarily who they oppose (As in Palin) but a tactic to redefine what right wing news is, leaving a conservatives isolated, as out of the mainstream while in reality making up the majority.
Now at FOX we have people who claim the center and hear both sides of the issues in a sort of consensus building liberal manner.
There is no right or left in the truth, so a motto like" fair and balanced "seems more along the lines of the Hegelian dialectic (Marx) than a show determined to get down to the facts.
We are told to praise someone like Juan Williams, who has stated many times that the Tea Party is racist and that conservatives are extreme.
If you don't think the NPR comments were a set up to have conservatives embrace him at FOX then I think you need to open your eyes.
Beck is probably the only palatable show.
Hannity has become unwatchable; from time to time he has on a conservative like Bachmann, Palin or Demint but for the most part he has ex Bush elites who despise the Tea Party and mock the most conservative candidates while giving Obama a pass on his radical transformation of the country.
When Sean brings up the whole Newt conservative revolution, I want to hurl on myself.
Is Sean this naive, all you have to do is look up his voting record for the last 30 years?
So here we have Michelle Bachmann giving a speech tonight post state of the union and FOX does not have the common decency to air what most of its viewers want to see; an American patriot, not an inside the beltway hack, reminding us that we do have a voice in Washington.
The left has effectively made us think that Bush was a conservative and that Fox news reports the truth both are flat out lies.

I agree and I’m sick of the Palin bashing guests on Hannity the only show I watch anymore is Glen Beck. I think Hannity and O’Reilly and Fox have become arrogant.
We’ll see if Sean has the guts to at least have Michele on his radio show so she can explain the alternative response, and why it is necessary. I’m interested to see if Paul Ryan will deliver a quivering-wimp speech similar to Bobby Jindal’s from two years ago. Bob
ALL of TV is cr*p and pro-Obama. Full on brainwashing in HD. The majority of idiots are addicted to TV. It keeps Obama popular and in power. Once he gets the Internet kill switch then it is over.
There’s this thing called the internet (for now)....her message will get out!
I’m guessing it is as simple as Fox figures more people will want to watch their talking heads dissect the SOTU and the Republican response than watch a third speech which will have much of the same substance as the Republican response. It’s all about the Benjamins.
Bachmann is GOP. They don’t need to air a 3rd address from a Tea Party self appointee. It’s bad for ratings and redundant.
If CNN does it, it’s because they know the GOP rebuttal isn’t going to offer them the chance to ridicule as much as Bachmann’s speech will.
(1) She will make a fool of herself,
(2) She will give a sound bite that can be used against Sarah Palin or other Republicans,
(3) She will make it look like the Republicans are divided.
I suspect Bachmann will fool them in all three cases.
“seems more along the lines of the Hegelian dialectic (Marx)”
This is an exceptionally confusing parethetical formulation.
The mistake was thinking that Fox was ever “conservative” to start with. Their formula is for viewers, not partisans. Always has been.
Thing is, that was, and still is, good for conservatives because the other nets don’t give a shi’ite. They ARE trolling for partisans and pushing an agenda.
FOX News is Roger Ailes. They are a part of the establishment elite so they have a certain amount of disdain for tea party Republicans.
The last I heard, her speech was only going to shown on the internet. Is CNN really going to air it?
Probably, but they’ll insist all three reasons you mentioned are true, anyway. Truth didn’t stop them in other recent and past instances.

I was floored by the news that Fox won’t carry Michelle Bachman’s response to the SOTU! If there was ever a clear sign that Fox has turned its back on the Teaparty, this has to be it.
I, for one, am going to e-mail Fox and let them know exactly how I feel about this. They at least deserve to know how their glaring omission is being received by many of their viewers.
Exactly, if there’s any substance to it, it’ll be viral tomorrow.
>>>We have to be honest folks, Fox news has been drifting further and further left over the past several years.
They were never “Right” to begin with.
Well, it does show the Tea Party is authentic..
But we can still turn to Fox to learn the important things like who’ll be elected King and Queen of the SOTU Prom!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! OMG!
Excuse me, but what time is Bachmann going to give her reply? Same time as Ryan, or after Ryan?
