There is no marriage license. There is no marriage certificate.
The Obama-Dunham divorce decree has been located and the divorce papers were in fact served on Barack Obama, Sr. and the divorce papers list a date for the marriage. It's not clear to me why Stanley Ann would have gone through this process and expense if she was not at least convinced herself that she was married.
Also why take the risk of involving the courts in a fraud? Also wouldn't either her lawyer or the courts have tried to locate her marriage license?
Also, if you look at the same website you linked to, you will see a note ("DoH Confirms Nuptual Record") saying that the State of Hawaii has in fact confirmed that the Obama-Dunham wedding IS listed in their marriage index. link
Without the actual marriage license or marriage registry by the minister/JotP, the date of the marriage could have been very different from the one Stanley Ann listed in the divorce suit.
There is no marriage license, nor marriage certificate in that divorce decree or anywhere else on this planet.
My statement stands as correct.
Re: “...the State of Hawaii has in fact confirmed that the Obama-Dunham wedding IS listed in their marriage index.”
The State of Hawaii has also confirmed that they have Obama’s long-form birth certificate too.
Stanley Ann would have gone through the faux divorce to gain full custody of the child whom they had passed off as Obama’s up until she decided to marry Lolo Soetoro. The “divorce” was necessary to formally and legally cut the African out of the kid’s life.
Stanley Ann had to produce a divorce decree to satisfy the INS/Univ. Hawaii/State Dept. that her marriage to Lolo Soetoro was legal. Lolo was trying to avoid being deported back to Indonesia after he overstayed his visa. It was during that bickering with authorities that he suddenly informed those officials that he and Stanley Ann had married - in March of 1965.
Those docs are at scribd - were part of a FOIA release a few months ago. I’ve not fine-tooth-combed them yet, but cursory examination pretty strongly hints that Stanley married him as a favor to strengthen his case for staying here. He was pretty unhappy at the prospect of having to return to Indonesia and its’ political strife.
The docs have notations that authorities were STILL waiting for Mrs. Soetoro to produce proof of her first marriage’s divorce; getting her to produce it seems to have been like pulling hen’s teeth. Also, many of the docs are memos about Mr.&/or Mrs. Soetoro being no-shows for appointments.
It entails a lot of reading of poor quality copies, so will take some doing to write up an outline of the salient portions.
