We’re getting into semantics here.
What you are discussing is the relationship of individuals to the state. Not all totalitarian or authoritarian systems are socialist. Some (at least historically) have been openly oligarchic or aristocratic (Sparta, mandarin China), etc.
All excessively powerful governments are evil. This doesn’t mean they are all socialist.
Socialism is the epitome of evil government. There are no shades of gray when it comes to this. Any government that has a drop of it is irredeemably evil.
