Dick Morris: The left is able to play Sarah Palin like a fiddle

I could be mistaken, but I honestly think Sarah Palin does what she thinks is best for her and her family. I don't know that she thinks about everything, or anything, in terms of how it will affect a run for office. I don't say this to disagree with or take exception to your observation, just as an aside.

Read "Going Rogue". I just finished it, and Palin lists her decision-making priorities as follows (my paraphrase):

1. God
2. Her family
3. Her country

Whatever gave anyone the impression that Fox News was uber conservative? It is just less left leaning. The only conservative on the channel was Britt Hume. Boy do I miss him. Brett Baier is too busy kissing Obama’s ass to be fair and balanced.

I never thought it was as conservative as FR, but since Christmas it has taken a definite editorial turn away from the Tea Party positions toward the RINO positions. It started with Rove and Krauthammer and is now infecting Hannity and the rest.

My theory is that they want Jeb Bush in 2016 so they want 0bama to be reelected. Status quo. That leaves Sarah to be defeated by the RINOs and the left, so they attack, attack, attack.

Just a working theory. We’ll have to wait and see how things work out. But the editorial is very much “go along to get along.” That sucks.

I read it when it first came out. Great book. Since then I’ve sort of kept an eye on how she behaves with what she wrote and I must say she seems to walk the walk.

I feel she has a lot to offer, it remains to be seen if another public office has any part in that. I hate to, as my Mom used to say, cut off my nose despite my face. There are lots of people coming along right now that have a lot to offer but also have some pretty heavy baggage. Newt, Dick Morris, the list goes on and on. Somehow we’ve got to find the way to get the benefit of what they have to offer and keep the baggage from weighing us down.
