Exactly.

Then, there’s the whole packaging, delivery and logistics of distribution involved.

Who put these on the chairs? How was all that work divided up? Were those people paid? By whom?

At a guess, once the President injected himself into a city's grieving process, the whole "solemn memorial" concept (a la Virginia Tech) went out the window, and in came Obama 2012 Campaign.

I'd also guess that once that happened, things were neatly taken out of the hands of the locals and turned over to, ah, community organizers and the like, to instill the proper rah-rah spirit, with tee shirts and all. Plus, I'm sure the Secret Service had a few suggestions on staging and such.

At that point, someone probably decided that it was too passe to have actual clergy onstage to read scripture--you know, religious leaders from the faiths of those who were murdered? Instead, they decided that it would be just the thing to have a Native American blessing; Bible reading by Eric Holder (I mean, really: Eric Holder?); and a vague, nebulous, touch-feely poem which means exactly nothing. When you get right down to it, it was an absolutely perfect example of a Progressive memorial service.

The idea of any actual solemn memorial service for the real victims was screwed the instant Obama said, "I'm so there!"

Uh oh! Somebody did, and it seems that at least the slogan (if not the actual tee shirts) has been recycled from Obama's 2008 campaign. They should have tried to cover it up a bit more thoroughly...
