Rather than blame his poor defense, DeLay’s lawyer blames the Tea Party Revolt. Oh, I got it. We should have delayed the revolt for DeLay’s trial and sentencing and then lived with the Marxist’s controlling the House, Senate and Presidency for two more years. I guess DeLay is more important than the country.

DeLay picked a lawyer who is either a colossal RINO or a demrat. My respect for DeLay has diminished to zero if he approved his lawyer blaming the Tea Parties. I hope DeLay uses his jail time to reflect on his life and make changes where necessary. If I were him the first thing I’d do is fire the lawyer and disown the Tea Party disparagement.

I don't think that's what the lawyer said or meant. Travis County is packed with liberals, which is why the prosecution chose that venue. Liberal jurors were looking for payback BECAUSE of the success of the TEA Party. So they hammered the hammer. DeLay's lawyer is probably right on the jury psychology. To say so is not a criticism of the TEA Party.
