The Hegelian Diaries: Arizona Shooting

When a crisis presents itself distort the facts to assume the antithesis (the crisis was brought on by conservative rhetoric) to bring about a new synthesis (rejection of 2nd amendment rights).

Turn it around. Use the self esteem meme but on a national pride level as in gay pride or black pride. ie.al the america bashing, apologies for being Americans, etc. lowers self esteem at a national level and incites insanity. anger. crime or whatever else.

Hegelian Dialectic being used by the political Left to rephrase the debate to purposefully deflect criticism from themselves and unto Conservatives.

This is something they've been doing for a while now. They attack their opponents with accusations of their own behavior. They think this automatically wins them the argument as counter-accusations are undermined before they can even be levied.

Of course, as a tactic, it is also predicated on the notion that most of the general public only latches on the to first accusation. Any later refutation, no matter how factual or logical, can completely overcome the "first impression" bias.

People who think logically, check facts for themselves, and make up their own minds don't fall for this cheap psychological parlor trick. However, we are also in the minority these days...

Not much to debate. Everything is your comment is pretty much a ‘given’.

Agreed. But how do we effectively counter this? We can’t bloody well accuse them of being right thinking individuals. It might confuse them a bit, but it lacks the punch of their attacks on us.

So, become like them. Lie, cheat, libel, whatever it takes?

Ask yourself this question. "What did the Founding Fathers do to win?"

But they wouldn't become their Enemy to defeat their Enemy.

By doing what we are doing here. Expose their tactic and desired results.

Every time there is a putative crisis and they engage in this tactic we document it in a diary. We can go back in time and document previous attempts and successes and draw correlations to current attempts.

You sure about that? Read up on The Sons Of Liberty sometime.

They've been exposed. For DECADES. Most people either refuse to believe or don't care.

Do you have the magic op-ed that'll change things?

Every time there is a putative crisis and they engage in this tactic we document it in a diary.

All we are doing is chronicling our demise. Playing the pipes while Nero fiddles.

I have. Even their actions were a direct response to British abuses of power. Less abuses, I might add, than what we suffer daily now.

I'm looking around... I see no such group today.

Yeah, but there’s only one guy in it.

Well then. It seems you have a lot of work to do if you are going to single-handedly save the world.

Use the internet to expose their lies.

While they use the Internet to lie about us. Prolifically.

The Internet makes fact checking easier, assuming you have any interest at all in actually doing any fact checking for yourself.

Most people don't. They get their news bites in between figuring out who the Next Hot Hollywood Couple will be and which new Facebook apps are all the rage.
