Jon Huntsman, Republican nominee in 2012?
The Daily Caller ^ | 1-11-11 | Will Rahn

Posted on 01/11/2011 1:05:12 PM PST by blasater1960

Huntsman, a popular Republican governor of Utah from 2004 to 2009, seemed like a rising star in GOP politics until Obama sent him packing for Beijing. On Jan. 1, Huntsman renewed speculation about a White House run when he pointedly refused to rule out a last campaign. “You know, I’m really focused on what we’re doing in our current position,” he told Newsweek. “But we won’t do this forever, and I think we may have one final run left in our bones.”

Hey, be careful now. My hair is pure silver, and I’m not yet 50. I might be offended by your comment.

Oh, please. All the conservative candidates who took the millions he spent on their campaigns, don't think he's an "establishment monkey". He's still the most brilliant political strategist working today, ask the people who are in office because of him. If more people would have followed his advice, we'd be in control of the Senate today instead of at the mercy of Harry Reid.

Take your purist nonsense to the playroom.

If you don’t get how out of step he and others find themselves now, then I can’t help you. He was great in his time though, no arguing that.

I was born a Mormon, although I have long since thrown of its oppression. Although Mormons are, by and large decent folks, I wouldn’t vote for one of them either. Reid, Romney, Bennett, Hatch, Huntsman, what have you, I don’t trust the lot of them. Mormonism is, like most religions, socialist at its core, so unless you prefer socialism, I’d personally stay away from electing them.

Glad to hear you say that. I thought I would take more grief for saying that but I do have real world experience with Mormon investors from SLC...

If you were AWOL during the fight of the century, don’t show up expecting to get promoted now.

Amen to that.

Hmmm... Supporting tea party campaigns. That must be why we got so many Rinos back in Congress this last election.

He’s a squishy RINO who jumped at a job in the Obama administration and probably now regrets it. Screw him!
