I think it is evident that Jared Lee Loughner is severely mentally ill; many people have mentioned that he appears to be a paranoid schizophrenic - who is now also a mass murderer.

I do not believe that Michael Savage was referring to clinically psychotic individuals when he wrote about liberalism being a mental disorder.

We have had in the past, other horrible shootings that have taken place, those who did the shooting were simply unhinged.
