Speaking of health care costs, my husband retired last week. If he desires to continue COBRA, it will costs the two of us $964.19 per month. Who can afford that on a retirees income or any other family of middle income means?

We are suppose to get hc from my husbands new job and it’s expensive and then we have the whole pre-existing conditions to contend with for a whole year. If they want to do that then fine but why do we have to pay full price for hc that they won’t even be paying for, for a year.
