(WIREUPDATE) — Despite the rhetoric found on Twitter and liberal websites there is absolutely no shred of evidence that Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck ever once influenced the gunman behind the mass shooting in Tuscon, Arizona. By all accounts Jared Loughner was an insane individual whose online ramblings do not reflect either the former Governor or the television host.
In the hours after the tragic shootings we have learned very little about the gunman. According to former friends he was considered ‘a loner’ who used recreational drugs and listened to music such as Jimi Hendrix and The Doors. He was able to legally obtain the gun that he would go on to use in the shooting of 19 individuals.
Liberal commentators such as Keith Olberman and DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas were quick to give blame to Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck for Loughner’s actions despite hearing any evidence that would suggest Loughner was influenced by them.
Jared Loughner’s obsession with Arizona Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords wasn’t a recent occurrence. Long before Sarah Palin posted a Facebook image declaring Giffords as one of her political targets during the 2010 mid-term elections, Loughner told a high school friend that he spoke with the Congresswoman. He asked Giffords a question and determined she was “stupid and unintelligent.”
This meeting occurred a year before Sarah Palin was a household name, in 2007, and three years before the infamous ‘targets’ image was posted on Facebook.
The facebook was fake, myspace and youtube were not.

Absolutely correct. And Geraldo Rivera is doing exactly that tonite on Fox. Tying the Tea Party in with this AZ massacre. Repeating it over and over (he’s on for 2 hours tonite). Fox Cable News has been disgusting on this subject all day and all night. There is a Tea Party guy on Geraldo’s show tonite that is fighting back against him and his show’s innuendo’s of far right complicity. The Tea Party guy just got Geraldo back by saying the lefties are blaming Fox News as one of the causes behind this attack, and that got Geraldo up on his high horse as he works for Fox. First time he’s backed down a bit on accusing the righties as now his ox is being gored also as a member of Fox News. Hah.

The big lie about the Elian Gonzales raid where machine guns and a search warrant were used, but nobody was arrested or broke the law.......
Now of course the counter-culture drop-out who likes everything decent society hates...ie Mein Kampf and Communist Manifesto...flag burning.......is already being tied to Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, and Fox News.....
That sherrif in Tucson should be FIRED for using the shooting to get on his political soapbox....no wonder we on the right HATE this type of political smear...because we always are the target of it and it is allowed to stand and work......
The press lies and smears and then blames us for what they call “hate”?????? What’s wrong with hating lies and smears and the press that spreads them instead of exposing them....
If this kid said he was a Republican who loves Palin on his web site, then fine....but he doesn’t come close to saying that.......
And a Sheriff is supposed to preach LAW and ORDER, not politics and complaining about political rhetoric from the other party.

WE conservatives had nothing to do with this, it was a left wing nut, but even if it was a right wing nut, they can’t take our free speech away! Hate speech and love speech is protected!
Another thing that is really getting sickening is the blacks don’t like being called the “N”WORD. Poor babies, grow up, there is nothing that anyone could call me to get me upset like they get! They are not second class citizens but they act like it, it’s time they grow up, they haven’t been slaves for 147 years!

Public hanging would stop these shooters! Making reading the Bible mandatory in grades 1 through 12 would also help
For all the generational bashing I do, as someone in my 20s, I have to admit the music was indeed better back in the day.
Based on everything presented so far....I’d say he was a four-star nut by age 18. Toss in the fact that he’s a major pothead and it’s pretty much loser-ville for this guy. As for any media attempt to label him sane or connected to Palin/Beck...it’s pretty much a joke. This guy will end up in a mental institute and I doubt he ever gets real jail time. That’s the sad part about this story...he can’t be judged because of nutty behavior.

Keith Olberman is despicable, exploiting the deaths of innocents (including a little girl) for his own gain. Words don’t describe...

Maybe, maybe not. Not only did we have the full presence of the police state at our rallies, many of us came armed and prepared for leftist violence.

No kidding - and when he talked about all the “vitriol, hatred and incendiary rhetoric” in the country and called Arizona the “mecca” of it, well, that was just so wrong on so many levels. He was probably aiming at Gov. Jan Brewer, but she continues to be dignified in the face of all the attacks made on her by the Left.

Seriously, I felt so safe there... And at a lot of the protests against DeathCare, I would stand on a certain street corner where the cops parked there cars. Sometimes there were 4-8 cops behind us (and others in the crowds). They were bored to tears because we were so well-behaved!
Needless to say, that didn’t stop the leftist press and Giffords’ office from lying about us :(
She went on the local PBS show and said we were “inciting riots.” Her words.
