Most of you Palin supporter, remind me of the Ross Perot supporters of 92.
How so Perot? Didn’t have half of the enthusiasm or base that Palin does. Perot was never taken seriously as a leader of the conservative movement whereas Palin has big bonafides with the Tea Party that swept the GOP into power in 2010.

Wrong Wooly! we’re tired of supporting lackluster milquetoast candidates such as Romney and Bush. We are tired of having Presidents who pretend to be conservatives but then go back on their promises and use their “compassionate conservatism” or “bipartisanship” that screws us and America over. By the way talking about fixations you and all the other PDSers on this site seem to have a very unhealthy obsession with Palin and why she shouldn’t run or be POTUS maybe you should stop being obsessed with thwarting her support and just see what happens in two years.

Obama’s losing indies left and right it’s not a big stretch to think that if Obama and Palin were to go head to head that she couldn’t capture a lot of these indies Obama lost. Especially, if the economy is still in bad shape.
The news media will tear her apart which will drive potential crossover voters away. You may not trust the MSM, but a lot of older voters still do.
Bo freaking hoo. I’m so tired of the LSM picking our candidates. The press tried to destroy Reagan and he played them like a fiddle and won the Presidency, Palin can do this as well. And she has been doing this through interviews, tweets and her Facebook. Boy I would love to see the damage Palin could do when she’s in 2012 mode.

Obama was elected because people know that something is very wrong. 30 years ago we had a debt limit of ONE trillion, now it is up near 15 Trillion. Obama seemed like an outsider. All anyone know about him for sure is that he WASNT from inside the beltway. So they followed their emotions. (incidently, this was Carters main asset in 76)
He has had his chance and failed. Like 1980, Obama and the Repub establishment will be repudiated for someone who loves America and AMERICANS first.

If you are picking candidates by trying to decide who the mainstream media won’t “tear apart”.. you are exceptionally naive. McCain was their boy,, their “maverick”, until of course, he got the nomination, at which time he magically turned into a senile old man.
You are wishing for some "GREAT WHITE HOPE MALE CONSERVATIVE" to come to the fore. That isn't going to happen! This was also the great wish of many here, in '07-'08 and that didn't happen then.
Most of Perot's supporters were political naifs, had little to no idea what he stood for, nor how politics works. None of that is true for Governor's Palin's supporters here, or amonst those who have never heard of this site.
Ross had never held an elected office and had made most of his money sucking off the government teat...vis-a-vis government contracts. He also hated the Bush family with a burning, visceral emotion. Again, nothing even remotely akin to Governor Palin.
The MSM,"comics", pundits of every stripe, and many of the GOP elitists have been going after not just Sarah Palin, but everyone in her family since she was chosen to be McCain's running-mate and she, unlike every other pols, ever, has fought back and, for the most part, won. Anyone who will be the the GOP presidential candidate in '12, WILL get the same treatment and not a one of them will know how to fight back, as she does!
If anyone is not seeing reality, it is you..........go buy a damned clue or three.
Look, if she runs she will be on stage with all the other candidates and will do one of three things, outshine them all and prove just how thoroughly the press has been lying about her for the last two years, or stumble a bit, get pounced on and joked about even worse, and be defeated in the early primaries, or fall apart completely and not even come close. Personally, I think the woman is hugely underestimated and that alone makes things interesting for both the primaries and general election.
I do see your point about "true believers" (a'la the Perot example) not recognizing what an uphill fight she would face. But the expectations for her have been set so low it's hard to say what would happen of she gets a chance to connect with people who have been told she's a backwater "moron" or how women will react if they empathize with her (hate to use this word) "victimhood".
Haven't heard Sarah mention the "Volunteeeeeeers".
Ross may have been a good ole boy, but he evidently was in it simply to do George H.W. in.
Got in, got out, got back in. It was obvious he didn't want to be president, but just wanted to make sure Bush lost.

The circumstances we face now are considerably more dangerous than when The Shrimp - i say this reverently because he had bigger cajones than a lot of the male prospective candidates we have now - made his play at a third party. You cite the independents poll numbers without any presentation of evidence and oh by the way, how many of the newbies in congress and governerships - supported by Palin - won with the help of independent votes? By my count that would be at least 71 versus 6 losses. As for your assertion that the news media will tear her apart, they have tried, they have failed and they have been found wanting. Go post your PDS somewhere else where it might be appreciated, like the the commie KOS.

served our country, raised our kids, retired, and we can get very loud...the news media has torn Sarah Palin apart for almost three years, and she still stands TALL...she will run and she will win...The American voters are tired of the same old same old.
I have not purchased news papers, nor news magazines for over ten years, do not watch the ABC news channels, the MSM is a dying breed...
