More Marines For Afghanistan - To Win Their Hearts And Minds

Here’s an Orwellian story from The Wall Street Journal that should tighten the jaws of any thinking American with even the most rudimentary understanding of the rules of the World of Islam. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has decided to send in an additional 1,400 combat Marines into Afghanistan to do……..I’m not sure what they’re going to do and I don’t know if Gates does, either. From the WSJ:

“WASHINGTON—Defense Secretary Robert Gates has decided to send an additional 1,400 Marine combat forces to Afghanistan, officials said, in a surprise move ahead of the spring fighting season to try to cement tentative security gains before White House-mandated troop reductions begin in July…”

Exactly what security gains he’s talking about I don’t know. Our troops move in. Taliban runs to another place – like Pakistan. We turn our attention elsewhere, they come back in.

“…Commanders in Afghanistan and advocates of the strategy in Washington say temporarily adding front-line forces could help counter an anticipated spring offensive by Taliban militants returning from havens in neighboring Pakistan…”

Yes. I understand that quite well now. Neighboring havens. Our friends, the Pah-ki-stah-nis.

“…U.S. commanders in Afghanistan face intense pressure to show sustainable security gains in the first half of 2011. Military officials fear an upswing in attacks by the Taliban in the spring could convince the White House that the Pentagon’s war strategy is flawed and that the troop pullout—the details of which have yet to be ironed out—should be accelerated…”

Could it be that this war strategy really is flawed? Deeply flawed? Maybe they’re never going to like us over there because we’re Infidels.

“…President Barack Obama last month said the war strategy was on the right track, but voiced caution about sustaining the gains for the longer-term…”

Now, when this CIC says that anything is on the right track, he really makes me think that we’re on the wrong track.

“…No congressional approval would be required for the new boost in combat troops, but congressional support is important for Pentagon leaders and commanders who want lawmakers to stand by the strategy…”

“…Some American officials believe sustained military pressure could open divisions within the movement or force the group to shift away from a strategy that precludes negotiations with the government of Afghanistan…”

Translation: Military pressure could open divisions within Islam and force Muslims away from their centuries-old religious, political, and legal beliefs. Good luck with that one.

The ongoing denial, lack of understanding, obfuscation and abject ignorance of Islamic doctrine’s role in this wave of jihad that began anew with the discovery of oil in the Middle East is beyond belief. We are an invading Army of Infidels in the Dar al Islam (House of Islam). We came into their house from the Dar al Harb (House of War). There are only two places in the Muslim world and I just named them.

Gates and his minions would have us believe that by ordering our bravest to sit down with the local Muslim chieftains, drink their tea, eat their goat and give them lots of American cash, we will somehow transform them and win their hearts and minds.

NOTICE TO ALL FOREIGN CITIZENS and THEIR GOVERNMENTS!

1. As a sovereign nation, you have the same rights to govern your nation as we have. Whether freely elected or despotic tyranny, how you run your government and DOMESTIC affairs is between you and your leaders. If you people don’t like how your government is behaving, we suggest you read some American history for the period between, say, 1774 and 1789. The world is awash in various sorts of small arms and other weapons. Getting enough to turn out your tyrant-du-jour ought not be a problem. Yes, many people will die (just as they did HERE in the late 1700s). It’s the price of freedom. But — and this is important to us — our SOLDIERS will not be among the dead. And even MORE importantly, MY kids and grandkids won’t be there. And trust us when we tell you that the casualties of your revolution will pale compared to those you will suffer should we be forced to invoke Clause 3!

2. Please pay SPECIAL attention to the word “domestic” in number 1.

The MINUTE we become privy to firm, corroborated intelligence that you have plans to harm the United States or one of our recognized allies — or, worst case — DO, in fact carry out such an operation, the United States and any such allies who wish to assist will come to you and request that you cease and desist. If you refuse to do so, we will TURN MOST OF YOUR LAND INTO A SMOKING RUIN. If you’ve never seen RUBBLE BOUNCE, it’s quite a sight. Just as the Japanese saw that in 1945, we saw a good bit of that on 9/11 – and will never forget it. The Japanese never forgot it – and neither will those of you who survive! We include in this list of threats AIDING, ABETTING, HARBORING, TRAINING OR SUPPLYING THOSE WHO, ALTHOUGH NOT CITIZENS OF YOUR NATION, MAKE PLANS TO HARM US OR AN ALLY.

We wish to live and have peaceful, honest and fair trade with all peoples — BUT harm us or injure/kill American/allied citizens AND YOUR WORLD AS YOU HAVE KNOWN IT WILL SIMPLY GO AWAY — FOREVER. No more PC “Nation Building” crap. Our military will be employed ONLY for those tasks for which they have been traditionally trained throughout history: TO KILL ENEMY TROOPS AND DESTROY ENOUGH OF THE ENEMY’S “STUFF” TO CAUSE THEM TO QUIT THE FIGHT. If some of you think we need “Nation Builders,” send in the UN — from which America will have withdrawn and “off-shored” to somewhere in Europe. (and good luck with these clowns).

And also remember that, since we have pulled our guys out of other nations and closed those bases – horribly costly activities with which we are no longer burdened — we have devoted those diverted resources to new, more effective human intelligence gathering methods using many of YOUR citizens as paid snitches (no more stupid Church Amendment!) so we WILL KNOW when you’re up to no good. And don’t forget that those freed up resources will allow development of more devastating weapons should we need them. Trust us when we tell you that they’re really cool.

4. And speaking of “cool,” once those smoking ruins have sufficiently cooled – and the radiation levels have fallen — we will put boots on the ground, clear any remaining resistance and seize your former property for the benefit of those who participated in the neutralization of the threat you posed. Casualties among our troops should be very limited because, as we think you have seen, the weapons possessed by the United States will leave very few to resist. REREAD 4 AND THINK 51st STATE!

A photo was recently posted on the web showing a white board in a Marine barracks in Iraq on which one trooper had written the following:
“America is NOT at war. The United States military is at war. America is at the MALL!”

Indeed!

PS: Once we rid ourselves of Obama and his thugs, we’re going to tap our OWN natural resources so we won’t be needing all that petroleum from the Middle East. You folks over there might want to accelerate your program to convert sand and oil into something edible. Later, dudes!!

Of course, if Generals Petraus and McChrystal had been given the 40K+ combat troop surge they originally asked for, those needed reinforcements would already be in country ready to pin down and destroy Taliban forces in their attempts to cross the Pakistan border or mass near it.

However, the omnipotent genius currently in the White House thought otherwise...

As for the mission of the Marines, there is and always has been only one: to close with and destroy the enemy by a combination of fire, maneuver, and close combat.

The Taliban will only cease to be a problem when they are all dead. Anything short of this extreme “solution” is just a Hudna (temporary truce between weak Muslims and a stronger non-Muslim enemy) to be broken without notice at a time and place favorable to the Taliban. They are the epitomy of deceit and deception. There can be no genuine peace with them as long as they are alive.

Current counterterrorism doctrine aside, the Marines understand this. Free them to get the needed work done.
