Getting Rush Limbaugh

Do you get Rush Limbaugh? If not, why? Over 20 million listeners tune into to hear Rush Limbaugh espouse conservative views on topics from abortion to the war on terrorism. Limbaugh doesn’t have a giant ego, nor does he have a Svengali hold over more than 20 million people; rather, he is an educator of conservatism.

Limbaugh’s impact of conservatism can be felt as far back as 1988, but it can be specifically felt when he was made an honorary member of the freshman class of the House of Representatives in 1994 at Camden Yards. In giving Rush Limbaugh an honorary title, members of that freshman class indicated that Limbaugh represented the voice of conservatism and the American people as much as they did.

For over 20 years, Rush Limbaugh has been educating Americans on conservatism. Now, he is given a chance to go on offense once again. Instead of defending conservatism, Limbaugh is given an opportunity again to use a freshman class of the House of Representatives as examples of how conservatism will only help America.

Rush Limbaugh will have many “teachable moments” in 2011. The lessons of conservatism will resurface as the new House of Representatives begins to steer America back towards a Constitutional Republic. Some of these “teachable moments” will be:

The ones who need to be educating are the Republicans in Congress. The Democrats are up to their Usual BS,but as we have learned if you dont Dispel the Liars with Facts the BS becomes Truth.
When the Democrats spew that you wont get Health Insurance for pre existing conditions if Obamacare is repealed should be answered if you FORCE an insurance Company to Provide Coverage for Pre existing conditions then it is not insurance it is a NEW WELFARE program so call it that, not Insurance and explain you are going to pay through the Nose for it. Health Care Reorm was always supposed to be about LOWERING THE COST OF Health Insurance, and it has been about everything else but that. Republicans had better send someone to Communication school to learn how to Communicate to the Common man on The Common sense reform that is needed.

Thank God for Rush.

Unfortunately too many Republicans have used him as a crutch, used him to fight their battles, used him to say what they themselves should be saying.

You have to remind yourself from time to time that Rush is an entertainer. So is Savage, Beck, etc.

I introduced my more political-minded son to Rush last year, wondering whether Rush could hold the attention of a very technology-driven young man. My son’s comment after listening a couple weeks - “three hours just isn’t enough”.

I agree!

I like to listen to Rush because he doesn’t have a fearful bone in his body when it comes to saying it like it is. That trait has nearly been his downfall a time or two but you never have to wonder what he really thinks.

We get Rush (see tagline) and never miss him. Everyone tries to label him a racist...it’s getting old and losing traction. If you don’t agree with anyone anymore you’re labeled something so...onwards and upwards I say.
