Saul Anuzis for RNC Chair: Debate Today
jenkuznicki.com ^ | 1/3/11 | Jennifer Kuznicki

Posted on 01/03/2011 4:40:36 AM PST by jenk

Anuzis is gaining favor after the assumed frontrunner, Reince Priebus, took heat from Connecticut GOP chairman Chris Healy. Healy suggests Anuzis or Wagner may become Priebus' direct opponent.

Read it at: The Weekly Standard

Conservative bloggers like Dan Riehl and Vassar Bushmills and JadedByPolitics at RedState among others are loudly criticizing Priebus.

I have given my two cents in the race, of course, calling for Saul Anuzis as RNC chair. Saul has been a sort of social media wizard and understands the importance of reaching the grassroots. I have also said that Wagner seems out of the loop on why conservatism won in 2010.

Since I love a good fight, I'm tuning into the debate via Daily Caller.

You can also view the debate here.

I don’t like any of them-—they all despise the Tea Party and Palin.

I disagree, Anuzis has been very forthright in his admiration for Palin and tea partiers.

Is that pronounced “Wagner” as in Porter?

Or “Vogner” as in Richard?

Depending on your point of view, Anuzis either added or subtracted 5 or 10 votes to Paul’s vote total.

Anuses is incompetent and a Slick Willard stooge.

Do state party chairmen endorse candidates (did Anuzis endorse Romney over McCain, et al.)? Or are they simply supportive of the candidate who wins their state primaries?

Generally speaking, they should be neutral.

Anuzis is a political bully and thug.

Under his tenure Mchigan got Stabenaw reelected, Levin reelected, Grandholm reelected.

He did not support any candidates who had a chance and his behind the scenes shenanigans were brutal.

He was an utter failure who should not be rewarded with the National GOP spot just because he is good at personal egomanical PR.

Anuzis is trying to attach himself to the Tea party but he's establishment all the way. He's a strong supporter of Newt Gingrich, worked for Gingrich and his 527 group 'American Solutions', and once said if he had his way he would "appoint Newt Gingrich as President."

I'm no particular supporter of Michael Steele but conservatives should ask themselves why the DC establishment is so anxious to dump him. They've been out to get him from the day he got the job.

Two people I'd like to hear from regarding this race are Sarah Palin and Ken Blackwell. Neither one has said anything yet, as far as I can tell.

Perhaps they don't like any of the candidates either...? :)

Steele may have been an affirmative action hire but for that very reason he is an outsider. I will take an incompetent outsider over a corrupt insider any day.

It didn’t matter if he was or wasn’t, he was a Slick Willard disciple. He didn’t have to “officially” endorse him in his capacity as MI GOP Chairman, since everybody knew who he was for.

What’s funny is some Paulbots oppose him, although anyone smacking down that moonbat tends to get points from me, although it still doesn’t change the fact that Anuses was one of the worst state party chairs in the country, possibly second or third only to the last two MA GOP Chairs and the DE Chair.

Funny you should say that, since none of my Republican friends in Michigan feel that way.
