Canned goods have an expiration date. The one thing about this stuff is that it’s freeze dried. I don’t have any cause it’s way expensive. There are other alternatives for freeze dried.

The dates on cans are "Best by" dates. Provided that the seal is intact (you get that hiss of vacuum when you pierce the can with the can opener), and there are no off smells or obvious signs of spoilage, canned food is edible well beyond (decades beyond) the "best by" dates.

The same applies to home canned items. If there's the hiss of vacuum when you peal the lid, and no off smells or obvious signs of spoilage, the contents will be edible.

The color and texture might not be the best, but you will get caloric energy and some nutritional value from the canned food.

Freeze dried foods also have a "best by date," though many freezed dried foods can have longer time horizons than some canned foods.

Just as aside. I go to a number of these “survival” sites, and sometimes wonder who the hell is making the lists. One item I do not remember seeing is medications. If you need them, you had better get them.
Worth repeating.

Anything you can't live without should be in the "survival supplies." If you are stocking up for a 6 month or 1 year supply of food, you need an equal supply of medicines. And not just the every day stuff. You'll also need an appropriate supply of "as needed" things like cold medicines, cough medicines and allergy relievers. And don't forget the emergency first aid supplies as well.
