“...Yep...forced sterilization is a very slippery slope.”

Maybe you didn’t read this part...

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.

Once it becomes an accepted practice, who may be sterilized depends on who is in power at any given time. When the eugenics movement was at its height in the early 1900’s, there were forced sterilizations of blacks and other “lesser” people.

Obama’s science czar is on record for favoring a two child limit for all families, even if they never take a dime of welfare. Once the policy of forced birth control/sterilization is in place and normalized, it becomes much easier to extend it beyond its original intent. Just think what could happen if we were all forced into a single payer health care system.

As a mother who loves who loves my fairly large brood, I shudder to think that in a few generations my grandchildren could be denied the blessing of a large family. We have qualified for welfare for the past 10 years and haven't taken it mostly because we want to be accountable to God and not to the government. I also think that stealing is wrong and do not want to raise my children on ill gotten gains; welfare is essentially theft.

I think that a more reasonable approach, if we must have government assistance in the first place, would be that public assistance is available for one child, after that you are completely on your own. No exceptions.
