I have to admit, jackwagon is now one of my favorite words. It came into my vocabulary courtesy of R. Lee Ermey via the great series of Geico commercials in which a former Drill Sergeant make[s] a terrible therapist.
Here then is the former Drill Sergeant himself, in an appearance from earlier in the month at a Toys 4 Tots benefit, giving his opinion about President Obama. Warning: its not for crybabies!
So lets just let Obama and his crew chug on over to mamby-pamby land, shall we, while we start to take back our nation. With guys like R. Lee on our side, how can we lose?
Oorah Gunny...
I look forward to G***O commercials now!
Listen up, you jackwagons!
;^)
I like it!
That was great!
Def Jackwagon: A useless piece of equipment, usually military, used to refer to a mule-drawn freight wagon which had been pieced together from dicarded or substandard parts, and subject to frequent breakdowns. Jackwagons typically were good for only one or two uses, then abandoned or discarded along roadsides and in ditches, and were often re-cannibalized to create new jackwagons.
A slight variation on “Jack Wagon” is “Jack Hole”, coined by my wife about two years ago.
HOORAY R. Lee Ermey! Thanks to America’s finest.
MAMBY PAMBY Pusswagons!
Good for him! I hope he doesn’t get his commercial pulled over telling the truth.
He probably will. If I recall, the voiceover guy for Geico last year got yanked for anti Tea Party rhetoric. Despite my disagreement with his view, I hated to see that kind of punishment for speaking out. Ermey may well have more clout and different language in his contract than an unknown voiceover professional.
I have his entrance from Full Metal Jacket bookmarked to put a boot in my ass on those days when I having a bout of unmotivated-itis.
And “jack-wagon” has become a normal part of my vocabulary.
We may have to drop a note of support to Geico?
