The Addiction of Anti-Americanism
Sultan Knish ^ | December 28, 2010

Like a Rorschach test which tells you more about the patient, than about the image on the card, Wikileaks reveals more about the left than it does about America. And what it reveals is that the left's antipathy toward America is not policy based at all. If Wikileaks' heavily edited helicopter video at least allowed the left to pretend that it was opposing American war crimes, the leaked diplomatic cables are based on nothing more than opposing American diplomacy. Not even the capital D diplomacy, but the small letter diplomacy. The minor observations, petty notes and random scribbles of a bored diplomatic corps observing well known situations.

The diplomatic cable leaks were not broadcast to protest against the war, or to undermine a right wing government-- they were broadcast because Anti-Americanism is a compulsive need. While American liberals fancy that the right man in D.C. can make the world love us, their own comrades internationally need an America to hate. If an America didn't exist, they would have to invent it. A more confident pro-American leader like Bush may stir up more venom and outrage, but America was not beloved under Clinton. And it's not adored under Obama. If Che were dug up, pumped full of zombie juice and stuck in the oval office-- the red che t-shirt wearing crowd would be burning American flags anyway.

During the Bush era, the chattering classes liked to believe that America's PR problem was fixable. But America's PR problem exists because it is a global superpower. The problem isn't the War on Terror or McDonalds or Hollywood or the dollar. Or any of it apart. It's all of it together. There's no fix for it, except to dethrone America. Turn it into a has-been, a former empire feeding off the good graces of others and opening its historical institutions to tourism. That won't fix the problem. The UK is not exactly all that beloved either. But it will dial down the obsessive hatred to a dull roar.

As the first fully Anti-American leader to sit at the helm of the country, Barack Hussein Obama is self-aware enough to understand that it is not any single element, but the perception of America as a global power in every arena that feeds that hatred. And it is why he's done everything to weaken American power and independence across every spectrum, from its economy to its military to its space program and its culture. But even a wholly anti-American leader wasn't enough to fix the PR problem...

Anti-Americanism is easy and trendy, requires no work or money, and makes you popular with your fellow scum. Look at the lazy, arrogant, ignorant people it attracts.

And if you are anti-American enough, you, too, can be elected president! I suspect that 99 percent of it is envy. The other 2 percent is sheer perversity. I don’t want to be loved and admired, I want to be feared.

[I don’t want to be loved and admired, I want to be feared.]
The Soviet Union was feared -- How'd that work out again?

Evidently some folks appreciated the USA's lawful mandate to secure their inalienable rights... more than they "feared" the nature of the Soviet Union to tyrannically suppress them.
[Neither math nor typing are my strengths!]
Better add logic, reason, and historical observation to the list.
A Republic, is a system - of government characterized by the Rule of Law; and when the law fails, the Republic fails.

Now, what is the purpose of American law, articulated by the Declaration of Independence?

"TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS"

Thus, if the American Republic fails -- then American government Of, By and For the People, fails.

QE1, QE2 - Going Going..
GONZO!

Feared?  Nah,  Hunter S. Thompson was "feared" - but only because he was bat-shyte crazy, unpredictable, and well armed.

In this American Republic -- RESPECT for the Law trumps Fear and Loathing (or loving) in Las Vegas.   Too bad Gonzo never grasped that, right up til he blew his feared libertardian brains all over the kitchen ceiling.

You apparently attempt to communicate through stream-of-consciousness dumping. Your posts are incoherent, so I shall proceed the same way. "Peace through strength." Was that Ronald Reagan? I know he did say, "Of the four wars in my lifetime, none of them came about because the U.S. was too strong." More from my stream-of consciousness: "Si vis pacem, para bellum." Translation: "If you wish for peace, prepare for war." Oh, and we won the Cold War, that's how it worked out. We did not win it by disarming ourselves.

To sum up: you do not understand how the word "secure" is used in the Constitution. And I still don't know what your point is, don't understand what you are trying to say. I think you are raving, in fact, and should be charged with Ital abuse. And probably should not be allowed to post unsupervised. The subject of this article is anti-Americanism.

>>Oh, and we won the Cold War, that's how it worked out.

LOL.  Riiiight, that's why we have an effeminate jackwagon in the Oval Office whom Vladimir Putin and the Russians toss around the diplomatic stage like a limp wet noodle.

We "won" - You sure about that?

After the Soviets deconstructed the Berlin Wall, they played possum for a few years -- and then, during subsequent 5 year planning cycles, they quietly retooled their military industrial complex with capital from the Western Oligarchic banking system.

Meanwhile this process....
"What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization"....."

....continued and accelerated; culminating in a protégé of the Weather Underground being placed in the White Hut, and homosexual activists infiltrating the American military.  The American Military which, just koinkidinkly, has been lured tit-for-tat into the Graveyard of Empires.

Then, of course the coup-de-grace:  the several hundred trillions of dollars worth of fraudulently manufactured derivative a$$paper that got floated in the global economic pond - spreading the dollar so thin that M3 hasn't been published since 2006.

And finally, the hegemony of the petrodollar being further undermined by the recent completion and successful testing of a Russian / Chinese oil pipeline - decreasing significantly the need for China to buy Dollars in order to buy oil.

What is your point? LOL What does this have to do with anti-Americanism? Why are you trying to hijack this thread with your idiotic ravings? Are you anti-American?

"we won"

LOL.

You remind me of a Useful Idiot standing in front of the Stadium in Detroit - waving your index finger in the air and chanting "We're number one! We're number one!" (italics added just because it irritates you)... ignoring the fact that the last time the Lions won the Super Bowl was 1957.

Wake up and smell the Borscht.

Being conned into letting America's guard down to get destroyed from within isn't "winning" anything.   It's just exploitable arrogance and stupidity.

"TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS, governments are instituted among men"

Should'a stuck with what worked, when America was still a Republic with a Lawful purpose, and not just another fading Empire.

>>What does this have to do with anti-Americanism?

Understanding the process whereby America was ideologically and economically subverted has nothing to do with understanding anti-Americanism?  Riiiight.

If such facts and discussion are over your head, then maybe you should confine yourself to simplistic activities that are more suitable for your constrained "Free Market" mentality; say, perhaps, watching Dancing With the Stars and American Idol -- between Viagra and Soma commercials.

Or maybe re-runs of Giliben's Island on the Nostalgia Channel...

So what you are saying is:

1) The fall of the Berlin Wall was planned by the Soviets, and was not a result of US policy during the Cold War up through Reagan and GHWB's presidencies.

2) The huge derivative losses were planned (by whom? the Soviets? The Illuminati? The Jews?) as a way to devalue the dollar.

3) The Afghan war was planned (by whom? the Soviets who were also stupid enough to fight there? The Illuminati? The Jews who are now more threatened by Muslim fanatics than before the war?) so that our military could be worn out.

4) The Obama presidency was planned (by whom? the Soviets? The Illuminati? The Jews who have lost American support during his presidency?) so that he could put his anti-American friends into places of power to undermine our basic American institutions such as the military.

It would be nice if you could identify which entity it is that has been so successful at undermining America's future. It would also be nice for you to help us understand that if this entity has been in place for as long as it has, then why you would even claim there is such a thing as America.

If some entity has been pulling all of the strings for as long as you claim then there has been no America for quite some time. There have been a bunch of people living in a geographic region referred to as the USA. But those people have been mere puppets for decades as all of their leaders have been hand-picked by an unassailable entity.

We don't even get to claim that we are all at least nominally citizens of the USA since an ever-increasing percentage of the people living in the geographical region known as the USA are not even legal citizens.

>>Oh. I get it.

NOT.

It's very simple.

One of the most significant precursory requirements for manufacturing the "Anti-American" mentality was an inability of the American sheeple themselves to distinguish A from B where
A =  The foundational American principle:  "TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS, governments are instituted among men"

and

B =  The post-modern mercantile merger of corporate and governmental powers.
America was defined by its principles - not by the shiny chi-com McBobbles its McSheeple managed to stuff into their 120% LTV refinanced McMansions -- which indebted their McSelves onto the empirical garbage heap of history.

During the Cold War, America was globally recognized for standing upon principle - for FREEDOM!

Today...  we're recognized for several hundred trillion dollars worth of derivative a$$paper that's poisoning the global economic pond and bringing down free economies like dominoes....

Proud Pirates of the American Dream.

If the Soviets were so sophisticated that THEY brought down the Berlin Wall and made us think that we had done it, then why did they also waste so many men and so much money in Afghanistan?

[why did they also waste so many men and so much money in Afghanistan]

Because within the collectivized insanity of their ideological framework, men are the expendible property of the state - not free Individuals created with inalenable rights that government, with a  lawfully constrained purpose, exists only to secure.

You fail to recognize the fact that the military competition was merely a surface facade over the ideological one - and that the ideological war continues despite the appearance of victory in the Cold War.

Did the Soviets recall their Useful Idiots and agents, individuals like Scott Ritter and Robert Hanssen,  just because the Berlin Wall came down?   Nope.
