NEWSFLASH: You are a moron. They may have been Saudis, but their organization could only plan and execute the operation they participated in because of assistance from the Afghan government. Morons like you are worse than generals who fight the last war, you guys are fighting a war from the 1800s.
Get a grip on a fact: The war is against Islamic terrorism. It is not against a nation state, it is against one ideology that makes its home in virtually every nation state. We beat it by destroying its ability to strike and to propogate its ideology. We do not beat it by reading a terrorist's passport and invading a country he grew up in, especially if he hates that country, as the hijackers hated the House of Saud and the secular Egyptian government.
So, really, what was the solution we should have undertaken? Invade Saudi Arabia and Egypt? Sieze Hamburg because that's where much of the final planning was done?
Should we have bombed Marin County because Taliban John Walker was from there? Let's invade Somalia because a Somali tried to blow up a Christmas tree lighting in Oregon. Let's invade Nigeria because the underwear bomber was Nigerian. Let's invade the UK because Richard "shoe bomber" Reid was a Brit and so were the guys who got caught planning the Heathrow plot.
Oh, or maybe we shouldn't have done anything. Lord knows that it's a great idea to let some terrorists supported by the government of a craphole country deliver a kiloton of combat power into one of our cities with no penalty. Even Ron Paul understood that was crazy, which is why he supported the 2001 military authorization even though it had every feature he said was blatantly unconstitutional about the 2003 authorization. In some cases it was worse.
You are literally too stupid or too willfully blind to even understand what kind of war we're fighting, which is why you're parroting talking points that usually are heard issuing out the ignorant, spoiled piehole of 19 year old womyn's studies majors at protests organized by communists. That's why you make moronic strawman arguments based on the pretension that supporting efforts to destroy our enemies overseas requires one to support Bush's immigration policy. I know it's hard for your little reptile brain to understand, but it is possible to think going where Osama bin Laden lives and killing him is a good idea while also supporting proper border security. Just think real hard for an hour or two and you might get that thought to sink in.
