Eric Holder calls Martin Luther King father of Environmental Justice

While speaking at a forum on "Environmental Justice" - the means of injecting race into environmental issues - Attorney General Eric Holder called Martin Luther King the "father of the Environmental Justice movement".

According to a CNS News report, the Attorney General said:

“Dr. Martin Luther King, who really was in some ways the father of our nation’s environmental justice movement, may have put it best when he declared, and this is a phrase that we all know, that ‘injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,’”

He went on to say:

“The Justice Department has integrated our environmental justice goals into all of our enforcement efforts in our comprehensive strategic plans and that’s why I’ve called on every US Attorney ’s office throughout the country, all 94, to do the same and to start thinking about environmental justice as a civil rights issue. By examining environmental requirements in conjunction with our civil rights laws. I’m confident that we can do a better job of ensuring fairness, advancing justice and making certain that the most vulnerable among us are not left out, left behind, and left to suffer disproportionately,”

This from the man who once called America a nation of cowards on race and refused to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party over allegations of voter intimidation.

I don’t know what Eric is smoking, but it sure alters his reality.

Who will ever forget Dr. King's "Save the Ozone Layer" march on Selma Alabama?

Collectivists are so transparent and so predictable. I remember the first time I heard the term "environmental justice" I was between laughing and throwing up.

Any credit for “...judged by the content of his character, and not the color of his skin.”

Geeze. ‘Reach’ much, Eric?

Bad enough that he is a corrupt America hater and ‘whitey’ hater... in charge of enforcing our nation’s laws.
But to come out with a stupidity like this to coerce his deputies into meddling with things outside their purview is an insult to everyone with three brain cells or more.

The working of the left, say something enough, get the support of the MSM, and eventually people will believe even the greatest of lies.

“Environmentalism” invariably involves total economic oppression of the poor.

Republican Martin Luther King (yes, he was a Republican), would if he were alive today, make a singular exception in his philosophy of non-violence, and call for Eric Holder’s ugly head to be placed on a pike in front of the Capitol Building.

Holder is a vile, evil racist who plays the race card whenever it helps to promote his socialism.

IIRC, he worked with bubba xlinton to free the murderous FALN Puerto Rican terrorists.

Apparently “Environmental Justice” needs a BIG NAME association to provide it credibility.

Try again Holder. Martin Luther Kings story is too well known for this one.

“...judged by the content of his character, and not the color of his skin.”

yeah, yeah, yeah..You might have understood it that way, but the marxist drone Holder heard it as:

“...judged by the content of his wallet, and the size of his carbon footprint..”(psst..re-distribute)

See? The two are perfectly aligned; it nut ball propaganda land of the left...

O.J. Simpson was is the father of the Ginsu cutlery movement.

Muslims were the father of Americas space program.

Is Michael Jackson still dead? He was the father of something, I’m just sure of it.

Black people good. White people suck. Got it.

Here is an "environmental justice" issue ready to erupt in Houston. Seems the city failed to notify a certain neighborhood of contamination in their water: It is why Jones is calling on the city’s mayor and other leaders in public works to create a formal policy that goes farther than what she calls “lax EPA requirements” on notification. Jones suggests if a well ever tests higher than the federal legal limit for radiation, citizens in the surrounding neighborhood would be notified without delay. The Chasewood community is a largely minority community.

“injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”

This is simplistic nonsense.

Is it any wonder King had the followers he did?

Is it any wonder that someone like Mr. Holder — embracing such statements — runs the kind of “Justice” Department that he does?

I’ve heard it said that Dr. King would have supported homosexual marriage. The evidence provided by liberals is that he worked with Bayard Rustin, who apparently was known to be gay at a time when such status was not considered trendy the way it is today.

Liberals can twist around what a figure from the past said and stood for to justify anything liberals today are pushing as the cause of the day. Did Dr. King buy carbon credits to offset the carbon footprint of his marches and travels?????

When Dr. Martin Luther King ascended to myth status all manner of things are now purported to be what he would have approved of.
The Truth is always different because we don't really know what Dr. King would have thought about any number of Social Issues that have appeared since he died and I doubt that his thinking on them and that being “Shoved” on him by the Liberals bear any resemblance whatsoever.
