When did they close City College of Baltimore? It is still going strong and has gotten some top academic awards.
“City College is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence (1999–2000), one of only two public secondary schools in Baltimore City to receive the award, a Maryland Blue Ribbon High School, a Maryland Character Education High School of the Year (1999)”

City had to be closed, its attendance restructured, and then reopened. That sad fact may have been expunged from the historical revisions — or they may try to say it was for “remodeling.” Yes, checking quickly, I see that Wikipedia now says it was closed for “renovations.” Sure — and my cat has wings. I think that if anyone wants to be honest, you’ll find that the year the black student body of City decided to turn the City-Poly game into a race riot greatly expedited those “renovations.”
