Don’t know if it was true or something I read in a novel (a la Clancy), but seem to recall that most of the decommissioned Russian nukes (the last time) were old, in poor condition (even suffering from moisture damage/rust),and basically more of a threat to Russia if fired than us, making the last START just a nuclear version of guns for cash.

The problem with this START treaty is that it allows the enemy gains while it dictates reductions to us.
In the 80s under the original START I thought things were foolish as well.
They would come in to inspect us, we would cover things up that were “off limits” and they would do the same.
My best guess is that we were monitoring thier methods at the time.
This new treaty is wholly lopsided.
BTW, I said during START 1 and Glasnost that we needed to increase surveillance.

At 1:50 in, the Bircher begins to use the upcoming “former ambassador” to bash Reagan on foreign policy for reaching out to “communists” like Gorbachev.

Exactly,we not only Cleaned up their Mess with our tax dollars but in Effect paid for the Modernization of their Nukes and Now we are going to cut ours
