Israel general drops missile defense bombshell (1940, The London Blitz lesson?)

Maj. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, commander of Israel's northern front, has dropped a bombshell by disclosing that the anti-missile systems the defense industry has developed are intended to protect the country's military installations, not its cities and civilian population.

"The residents of Israel shouldn't be under the illusion that someone will open an umbrella over the heads" in the event of a massive missile and rocket attack by Israel's enemies, he declared in a speech Sunday at the University of Haifa.

THE LONDON BLITZ, 1940

With the fall of France in June of 1940, England stood alone against the Germans, making the likelihood of a sea-borne invasion of England—already in the planning stages—a very real possibility. Only Britain’s undersized air force—the RAF—stood in the way of keeping the German’s much vaunted Luftwaffe from seizing air control and making a sea invasion possible. At first the Germans were winning the war of attrition by attacking British airfields, but after a small-scale RAF bomber raid on Berlin on August 25th, 1940 (which did little real damage) enraged der Fuhrer, Luftwaffe Air Marshal Goering decided to retaliate by switching targets from the RAF airfields to London. In doing so, he gave the British a much needed chance to regroup and rearm, the result being the Luftwaffe’s eventual defeat and the cancellation of the invasion of England a few months later.

No country since Britain, Germany and Japan have the future dire predictions as Israel does today and that is just hunky dory with the UN, EU, IAEA, and world governments. Nobody cares that a modern, Western state like Israel is in this situation to begin with. What seems to be on the minds of world leaders is if Israel has stopped building apartment blocks in the West Bank, then everybody could live in peace and harmony. Israel is surrounded by failed or rogue nation states, supplied by Iran and Russia as well as the HAMAS-controlled Gaza strip (supplied by Europe and the USA). The situation on the ground is dangerous and nobody better open their mouths if Israel is FORCED once again to defend itself from this Arab/Persian onslaught. No UN investigations to Israeli so-called “war crimes” as we saw in 2006 and yet again in 2008! If these predictions happen, Israel will be forced to do MASSIVE damage the the attacking countries’ infrastructure and of course, the COWARD Hizbollah, HAMAS, Syrians, Lebanese and others will HIDE BEHIND THEIR CIVILIANS as they always do.
