We knew what was disclosed by WikiLeaks wasn’t good, but does it mean the end of United States global supremacy?
According to MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan, that will be the fallout from reputed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s latest document dump and the backlash of his arrest in the United Kingdom. Buchanan offered that dire assessment on the Dec. 12 broadcast of “The McLaughlin Group.”
“What you got is an anarchic attack on American diplomacy,” Buchanan said. “Anarchic attack – by young people, very talented, want to destroy America’s position and destroy America diplomacy and frankly disarm America.”

‘American Empire’? Really?
With this, Buchanan officially becomes a traitor.
People thought he exaggerated and was provocative when he declared that we were in a culture war too.
Now see where we are.

He is making an assessment, not engaging in advocacy.
...bring back the HUAC....bring back black lists...bring back treason trials/executions.
How so? Seems to me Wikileaks is a significant problem if it continues although not as significant as having a anti-American communist POTUS whose sympathies lie with the enemy.
America is an empire?
Maybe the elitists have an empire who are scrambling to protect themselves. Maybe that is what he’s talking about?
We are not an empire jackass.
So far I haven’t seen anything come out of wikileaks that we didn’t already know.
Obama is FAR more destructive then Assange.
I could imagine the gleam in his eye as he said the words “taking down the American Empire.”
Here is the thing, Assange next wants to target a major American bank. I say bring it on! Just because it would hurt the economy is no justification for allowing Bank of America or any other bank to continue down a crooked path. The people have a right to know the truth.
The banks in my opinion are the biggest criminals of all. If the public had any idea the crap they are doing, they wouldn’t pay another dime on their debts. Everything from BoA wrongfully filing foreclosures, to investment banks selling mortgages to people who they know can’t afford those loans, to Wachovia involved in drug and human trafficking.

I don’t know who leaked it, but since there’s no mention of Obama and his administration, the regime, in any of these tens of thousands of documents, I’d have to say somebody in the regime leaked ‘em. But WikiLeaks did not leak ‘em. They just published ‘em. WikiLeaks is just a sponge, a useful idiot sitting there over in the UK and some disgruntled military guy in Afghanistan somehow has access to all of this and hands it over. ...

I care that they all do not go bankrupt. Who do you think is on the hoof if they go bankrupt? The US government insures all deposits and should they go bankrupt, the US government and the taxpayer is on the hoof to pay off the depositors. Bank bashing can be fun. But bottom line the ultimate loser would be the US taxpayer if the banks go bust.
WikiLeaks is an anarchic attack.
My impression was that he seemed more tired and discouraged in the video, than triumphant.
The founder of wikileaks pretty much admitted the other night that he couldn’t care less if American troops get killed by these leaks.
These scumbags are being treated like heroes when they should be on death row.
The wikileaks deal is a big part of the obama team effort to further undermine the US. Make no mistake, BO and his gang assisted in making this happen and many more secrets will be available to America’s enemies.
Bank of America is terrible. Anyone stupid enough to do business with them pretty much deserves it.
“America is an empire?”
If we were, it would be an improvement. Post WWII, we have committed to all of the military and economic obligations of an empire, with none of the dividends. We have created a unique and noxious fusion of the most costly aspects of an empire and a not for profit charity, on a global scale.
It will kill us in the end.
A lot of conservatives (or at least Republicans) simply hate Buchanan.
Of course Buchanan isn’t right about everything (who is?), but he was right about the Culture War and he is right about immigration and the demographic threat to Western civilization. And on those two things elite ‘conservatives’ are often leftwing as any Democrat, so they really hate Buchanan for being a vocal conservative on them.
