Don’t kill him, use him. If he can’t be used, kill him.

Peters is spot on - he was a GRUNT - a retired AG, (or other such pencil-pusher type), would mentions Assange’s sad childhood and say he needs a hug and a US government stipend as an “apology”.

Yeah, it would save so much time and money if the government could just declare people enemies of the state and terminate them with extreme prejudice... Wait, what?

People engaging in espionage during wartime are enemy combatants. Hiding behind legal rulings saying that broadcasting Top Secret Need-To-Know documents are protected First Amendment rights doesn’t change my opinion one iota. He (and the Wikileaks board) should all have rooms at Gitmo, awaiting their military trial. That being said, Zero would defer to Holder, and they’d all get walking papers and medals pinned to their chests on the way out.

This is a view I share. The damage he has done-—and NO ONE has even begun to sift through the really important stuff-—is absolutely crippling to us and to the west. He is an enemy of the state, and a secret team should treat him as such.

The same secret team should take out soros while they are at it.

We need a video confession first. Assange will undoubtedly give up Soros in return for having an intact body at the showing eh!

I saw this live. The Colonel was right on the edge of sounding like a lunatic. I usually enjoy his comments but he is red eyed pissed over the leaks.

Even in WWII spies engaged in espionage got the benefit of a trial before they were shot. If its good enough for the WWII era, its good enough for now...

The Tea Party has interfered with government’s ability to act secretly, too: I take it most here would be OK with a retired bureaucrat calling for, say, Palin to be killed? At least in principle?

This isn’t a slippery slope, folks: it’s a friggin’ cliff and the good Colonel is over the edge with the wind whistling past his ears.

Tough issue. On the one hand the man has done massive damage to our country. On the other our country was founded on due process and it would be a bad precedent to give Obami the power to kill at will.

If a disgruntled gay PFC can stick a thumbdrive into a DOD computer and walk out with 250K “SECRET” and “SECRET-NOFORN” documents

THEN RUSSIA AND CHINA HAD THEM ALL YEARS AGO.

The people who should be locked up next to PFC Manning are the dolts and traitors who cleared over TWO MILLION PEOPLE to read (and steal) these classified documents.

We’re just the last people on earth to find out what happened, because of Manning and Assange.

OUR ENEMIES KNEW ALL OF THIS INFORMATION YEARS AGO.

The only positive that I see in all this is that our enemies (the really dangerous ones like Russia and China) likely had acquired all the same secrets a long time ago, and were keeping the fact that they had it, secret. Thus, it was much more dangerous.

Now that it is out for everyone, we can start to work changing strategies and doing a better job of keeping the new secrets secret.... if we are competent, but I have my doubts. The left have an inner desire to betray themselves and their nation.

I agree but Assange is just one of many rats. Whoever he got the secrets from should be first in the firing squad.

A question I have is can someone be a spy if they are not working for a country?
