Our friends over at Yahoo News have an interesting post up this week in which columnist Anne Stjern (who?) poses five pretty substantive questions to S.C. Gov.-elect Nikki Haley.
Apparently its part of a nationwide effort in which Yahoo contributors seek to get their states politicians to go on the record responding to specific inquiries (something Haley has been reluctant to do in the past).
To read Stjerns questions (snip) click here.
We thought this was a worthwhile idea not only because weve got five questions (at least) that wed like to ask Haley, but we suspect that you do, too.
Here are our five questions for Haley:
1- Since youve declared that universal parental choice isnt going to be one of your administrations priorities (click here), what exactly are you going to do to help the 109,000 South Carolina school children who are trapped each year in perpetually failing schools?
2- You campaigned on eliminating the small business income tax, yet your corporate tax-grocery tax swap (click here) doesnt provide any relief to small businesses. How do you justify making this claim?
(snip)
4- You claim to be an accountant who knows the value of a dollar but your history of financial management is abysmal (click here) and you have decided not to submit detailed spending plans to the S.C. General Assembly (click here). Why, again, do you deserve to be trusted with our tax dollars?
5- Both of the men claiming to have engaged in extramarital sexual relationships with you have signed affidavits attesting to the veracity of their claims. You have refused to sign an affidavit (click here) and havent sued either one of them despite receiving offers of free legal assistance (click here). Simple question
why not?

Look like pretty good questions to me for the John Kerry in a wig.,
Are you a misogynist?
Or do you just hate women who hold/held governorships?
I love it. The feminist wing of FR chines in.
He IS a misogynist who thinks women should not have the vote.
He also thinks female candidates should have to answer any and all unsubstantiated sexual slurs no matter how much they lack credibility.
You have Sarah Palin living rent-free in your head... now you’ve sublet space to Nikki Haley.... It’s a valid question.
Pissant has a serious head problem.
Yet I rank Mitt and Newt and Perry at the VERY bottom of any list of politicians I want to see in office, well below Palin.
Not one person has accused me of hating men. But carry on, you’re doing a fine job of leading the feminist retard brigades.
>>>>Pissant has a serious head problem.
Niki & Sarah share an infinite cavern.
Are there any conservative women in the political spectrum today, who meet with your approval?
4 legitimate questions that deserve answers, without conflation or obfuscation.
Lots. Bachmann, Blackburn, McMorris-Rodgers (from my state), Cynthia Lummis, Kay Granger, Ros-lehtinen of Florida come to mind. And of course the newest superstar in the making, Kristi Noem.
I’m just waiting to be called a man hater for my elbows to the throats of Mitt, Rudy, Huck, Tpaw and that effeminate marshmallow, Newt.
We’ve often agreed in principle on conservatives, so I just thought I’d ask you your position directly.
Mitt, Rudy, Huck, Tpaw and Newt - we’re in agreement 100%.
Nikki, I don’t know enough about her, except to say that I preferred her over the alternative.
We differ though, in that I like Sarah a great deal.
You might want to double-check that list for executive positions, as opposed to legislative.
Of course not, deadnuts. You believe men should have the right to vote.
Post 3 - Impolite and rude, yet witty.
