Although it has already been saved, over 11 feet deeper than a decade ago, you still see VW busses with “SAVE MONO LAKE” bumper stickers, right next to the “OBAMA ‘08” stickers.

Not so coincidentally, NASA's APOD the other day of Mono Lake didn't show any bumper stickers, let alone cars.

They did have an inset of the arsenic critters, though.
