Impossible. The MSM told me that Bush invaded Iraq to steal their oil and that he lied about the WMD’s!

If this is true, it begs the obvious question: WHY THE F**K didn't the Bush administration trumpet this loudly and clearly to the media, the American people, and from the roof of the White House if need be? WHY THE F**K did Bush go along with the "no WMD in Iraq" mantra? Hell's bells, he even mocked himself with the slide show at the Press Corps dinner, in which he showed himself supposedly looking for Iraqi WMD in the Oval Office, behind curtains, etc. He kept saying "no, they're not here!" to the giggles and laughs of the assembled liberal media. I wanted to puke when I saw it! I feel the same way now.

If this story is true, Bush/Rumsfeld/Powell/Rice/et al sabotaged the war effort, cost the GOP control of Congress in 2006, and may have helped put the Obammunist in office in '08.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

The last time Isreal bombed Syria, they were after the WMD cache. They were afraid Syria, who is being run by Iran, would mix the uranium from Iraq with some highly radioactive material brought in from Iran to make dozens of dirty bombs.

You also need to look at post 17. If you remember correctly, the US was having a helluva time getting France and Germany on board. It was just one of those silly diplomatic thing that had to be done.

Google your bum off, I ain't wasting my time pointing out easily available information to the anonymous particle. Try the wipkidiks to see where Don was about 83’. Then you are on your own.

I think it had to do with getting France, Germany and others on board for the invasion. Also along with Russia to keep their name out of it.Can you imagine what would have come to pass if the WMD’s had made in France, Germany or Russia inscribed on them, especialy after GWB said you are either with us or against us? Thats why we waited long enough for them to be transported out of the country before we went in.

I do not dispute your analysis... While the lunatic communists were pointing their accusing fingers that George Bush was 'killing' people for oil, the real oil buyers and sellers under that UN scam called 'oil' for rotten 'food' was Russia, France Germany and a few other less powerful nations...

But to accuse Donald Rumsfeld as 'giving' Saddam his WMD's or technology to produce such borders on the same lunatic slander the communists were spewing over President Bush and 'oil'....

I watched lord McCain and is media mouthpiece Billy Kristol do whatever they could to remove Rummy from his appointed position of Secretary of Defense.... I do not take kindly to the continued unfounded sneers and snarks against Rummy. He went to war as ordered with the military available to him after said military was spliced and diced by appointed 'commissions' the elected class were too coward to handle themselves.

Google snicker.... It sure was NOT Donald Rumsfeld that was hightailing out of Baghdad fleeing to Syria when the bombs began to fall.... I think it was a bunch of 'former' Soviets there giving old Saddam all the assistance they could muster...

Old Saddam agreed to give up anything and everything WMDish he had LONG after 1983, but carry on with your mythology.

Back in the 80’s Iraq was the enemy of our enemy, Iran. Yup, we gave some to him back then and Rumsfeld was doing what Reagan told him to do. Remember Iran-Contra? Yup, we was involved in that also along with Oliver North. SH was our little puppet for a while, then he got cocky and decided to go it alone. Hell, we so much as told him he could do what he wanted with the Kurds. The internet was just coming of age back then, not like it is now.You would be truly surprised how complicit american bussiness was involved with Nazi Germany before we got involved with WWII,

Anthrax is often ‘sold’ to labs for use in developing farm programs for reasons including the development of control practices. Notably, Iraq’s anthrax came from an agricultural lab at a State University via Center for Disease Control and Dept. of Commerce. That lab was a major source of anthrax spores for people worldwide, who could purchase them for research purposes as long as they were from recognized institutions (like an agricultural university). Anthrax is, after all, a not-unknown livestock disease and there are (unlike, say, smallpox) legitimate active research uses for it.

Yes I remember the 80's, 'evil empire' words that shook to the core our pantie waisted liberals... most especially those that deceived themselves into believing they lost the Vietnam War.

And yes we sided more-so with Iraq then after the mad moolahs took over Iran... a very tragic time for the 8 so years of bloodshed. But to specifically accuse Donald Rumsfeld as though he and he alone trafficked in WMD technology and is the source that gave Saddam his deadly wares is just NOT accurate.... so very liberalish and totally ignores who, what, where, when and why.

We basically cleaned old Saddam's clock in the Gulf War, at least for appearances sake, but did not cut the head off the snake.... and allowed him to terrorize his own people and neighbors as well as the outlying neighborhood... through of all places the UN.

Dissing Rummy for what took place in the 80's era of that 'evil empire' which far exceeded what Nazi Germany attempted does not settle well with what parts of actual events I have lived through.

GWB was simply an idiot in believing that he was above it all. Don’t need to defend his justification for war anymore. Allowing the DEM and media to rewrite history and undermind US crediblity

My daughter was in Iraq in 2003/04 - convoyed into Balad/Camp Anaconda following the initial US Army entry into country. Don't recall
her mentioning any chemical weapons find, but my husband and I clearly remember in the 03 time frame a unit walking into an abandoned Iraqi Army post and finding clear indications of a chemical and biological weapons lab. Please recall the convoys of trucks leaving Iraq just before the ‘invasion.’
