So Ralm got volunteers to pretend to collect for Halpin and then turned in fraudulent signatures to knock him out of the running.

This is one of those issues where I’m sort of split. On the one hand he gave up his residency when he moved to D.C. to work for the White House, and on the other why should he be forced to give up his residency because he went to work for the WH. That’s a bit of a stretch, but is no less valid.

Key to this is that he rented out his house, which indicates that he’s leaving/left the district for the long term, and has surrendered his residency claim. If he voted in D.C. at any time, then he’s definitely out. If not, then it becomes a little more murky.

Just the same it would be fun to watch him run...and lose.
