“The guy’s crime was that he took his son to the emergency room with a head injury received when playing baseball... “

I took my son to the hospital for x-rays when he broke his arm at football practice. There was another kid in there for a sports injury.

I find it difficult to believe they go after every parent who comes in with a sports injury.

Yeah, of course you do, because you've never been through it. You're probably not a self-employed, self-insured, homeschooling parent, so you don't set off any of the red flags.

Now, if you persist in your denial, and the very lightly veiled accusation of falsehood, I'll tell you what I think of people like you.

Oh, I missed your money-words: "every," and "sports injury."

I would find that difficult to believe, too. It's really a rather obvious point. Nothing in my post would suggest anything warranting your comment.

Now, are you really saying that you find it difficult to believe that "they go after" any parent for any reason?
