Sarah not only had a child she knew wasn't normal, she allowed her daughter to choose life too. Make no mistake, these choices resulted in significant emotional events for those on the left. Fear doesn't begin to describe what they felt. Sarah made them feel dirty-and for that, she's reviled by them. Yes! She stirred guilt in those who still have a conscience, so there's hope for those people coming around, while there's no hope for the ones who "hate" her for making them feel dirty.

AWESOME POST!
I agree. Abortion is at the core of PDS.
I've been thinking about those (even on FR) who are critical or dismissive of her TLC show.
I've come to the conclusion that they truly don't "get" her core appreciation for Life and its God-given provisions.
The little prayer she quoted by Ted Nugent before harvesting the caribou, grateful for its life and purpose, is a prime example.
Sarah loves Life. She is unselfish and God-reliant, which makes her self-reliant and fiercely independent.
America is the only country exceptional enough to allow true freedom.
We cannot allow the left to abort our freedom.
No wonder she starts each rally with. "America, DO YOU LOVE YOUR FREEDOM?"

No, the reason the left fears Sarah Palin is that she is living proof that abortion is wrong. It's the one issue among many lesser important ones, that if they even begin to question themselves on the issue, would cause the leftist house of cards to come tumbling down. Not only would their political viability be destroyed, abortion is for leftist ideology, the tie that binds. Forget their anti-capitalist bent, it's definitely who they are, but they know they cannot control our activities if they can't destroy our instincts for self preservation first. Couldn't agree more...I've been arguing the same point for some time, but nowhere near as effectively as you have just done.
To a lesser degree; the progressives hate Sarah for her Christianity and her patriotism; especially here in New England. (This is why I am very concerned about the NH primary if she runs...) Several weeks ago, a veteran was attacked by NH teachers when he dared warn children about the threat of communism during a Veteran Day assembly (thread around here somewhere on the subject), and now there is a school in NH taking heat because they use a textbook on finance that refers to Jesus Christ as "a wine-guzzling vagrant and a precocious socialist". A Christian couple removed their son from the school, and now they are under attack from the progressives in the local paper.
Sarah's message may not translate well in New Hampshire...not at all.

I don't know...now they're attacking Jesus Christ in NH schools (Hannity even mentioned it), and I'm sure Sarah's passion for her Savior isn't going to fly well around here with some people...

Those damn government schools. Worse in blue states, better in some red states.

There’s a thread about that school situation in New Hampshire running around here right now...Glenn Beck has picked up it at his ‘Blaze’ site, as well... portraying Jesus Christ as a “wine guzzling vagrant...”

Palin could upset Huckabee in Iowa, skip New Hampshire, and take South Carolina?
