The second rifle looks like its a .338, I have a Ruger M77 Mk2 stainless in that caliber but with a Hogue rubber coated fiberglass stock. I have the Dishnetwork PVR and this show recorded and I am looking at the freeze frame when she has Becvkers gun, it has a super magnum recoil pad and looks like 9 cartridges on the right side of the stock, at the least they look like either .338 or even possibly the .375.

Taking an educated guess and also being a hunter here in Alaska I would say its a heavier caliber in case they come across a bear, a lighter cartridge like the 7mm would not be a good bear stopper unless its a very good shot, better to go as big as possible. So I bet its one of these two calibers, and I can say honest a .338 packs a pretty good wallop.

I watched the show carefully again - I believe Sarah’s Dad said the second rifle was a “7mm” - probably a 7mm Remington Magnum? The first rifle, (which probably had its zero knocked off in Dad’s fall), was described as a “varmint” rifle - could have been a .243 Winchester if he felt it potent enough for Caribou.
What do you think?
