I don’t think I want to be rubbing the seal with anything. Its on a piece of paper that’s been folded and unfolded a lot, and the imprint is worn. I am trying to take care of it, and deliberately damaging it that way, even just the pressure of rubbing it with charcoal is going to rub it down just that much further.

I have posted the darned thing too often now. Shoot you can likely find a copy of it pretty easy just searching on it. (sigh)

A rubbing is done by placing tissue paper over it and going over the tissue paper with a soft charcoal pencil, not rubbing charcoal on the document.
