For those who cannot find any work in 2 years and not willing or able to move to find it, there is a different pot of money called “welfare”
Employers and still-emplopyed people have been carrying the unemployed for far too long as if they were in a temporary situation. It now appears the jobs of many unemployed folks will never come back.
Time for the State govts to man up and expand the welfare roles. We also pay taxes for that.
Welll, maybe we should require some form of public service in exchange for unemployment benefits. Work for value received.
