Was he taken advantage of, I can’t imagine he needed the money, and yes I heard it too. Sounded old, and when you sound old you are.

Old is not good if you lose reality, logic, critical thought, and you aren’t grounded in truth, and the ideals of the founding fathers.

Agree ... something about this "commercial" comes across as disconnected. My impression is the same .. just an old fool reading a script. I hate that, I enjoyed the old Mayberry series (when it was NEW). You wonder if he even knows what he is saying. That's one I "zap" with the remote. My mute and change channel buttons these days almost have the letters worn off of them.

What I need is a voice recognition program for my TV that causes the "mute". When it hears Pelosi (as just now), or Reid, Obama, Griffith, Wagner (asking people to give up their homes for a steady income), Matthews ... (and this list goes on and on) ... I want it to automatically mute. I literally cannot stand to hear these people talk. I even mute my radio during Rush ... can't stand hearing the "audio" of Obama et al. I know Rush is making a point, but I can "imagine" the words ... I will not listen to them.

Yes, it's actually pathetic. The problem is that some people are believing it.

I have to agree. Some of us have a happy spot in our hearts thinking back to Andy Griffith as the sheriff of Mayberry. It was a great show and he played the character perfectly. It’s sad to see him shilling for the corrupt liars. I can only think he must need the money.

He does come off as feeble and spent. One does get the impression he’s confused and is just spouting lines.

I preferred my memories of him as Sheriff Andy rather than seeing this. Maybe he really is befuddled and doesn’t understand what’s going on nor how he’s being misused.

That about sums it up. I actually felt embarrassed for him watching it. But the Obama Administration probably feels that his opinion can sway those who still revere his work. Not sure if Andy really believes it or if he’s just reading a script. Who knows—maybe he needs food money?
