The problem with the blog pimps is that they actually harm the bloggers out there who actually have something to say and can do it without claiming that copywritten material that belongs to someone else is their own.

You are fighting a losing battle. This is the Internet. It has no rules, and sites that do have content rules (like FR), recognize that it is the Internet, and wasting time putting fingers into a a dam that has already burst is not only silly, it borders on insanity.

If you support "bloggers that actually have something to say" - your content-Nazi ways here in FR aren't selling it well. Instead of gaining support for your "cause," folks like humblegunner frothing at the mouth and spewing filth remove all credibility you might otherwise have.

First of all, humblegunner and I disagree on A LOT of stuff and we've gone at it a bunch of times over the years.

Secondly, whether you finds me credible is of no consequence to me.

Finally, my "cause" has nothing to do with ridding the world of blog pimps.

As I said, I don't have an issue with legitimate bloggers. I don't have a blog, but there are certain blogs (written by people who are actually recognized authorities in their fields rather than some anonymous basement-dweller who fancies himself as an authority on everything from macroeconomics to Old Testament prophecy) which I regularly post (and by post I mean the WHOLE thing and not just a sentence fragment) and HG has never accused me of being a blog pimp.
