“Maybe a rush of memories just made her ill. I would think this would have to be awful for her.......” I agree. She was probably nauseus, sick and shaking when the attorney recounted her experience with the crazy man. Who would not understand why she would walk out? At least, now she can walk out of the court but not when she was kidnapped.
You are correct. It is described that way in the first line of the story. The description given later does not match that first sentence. And it's an AP-sourced story with the name of the writer not shown. Unless there is a second source that says the same thing about the way she left, I chalk it up to the AP writer trying to hype the story.
She had every right to storm out. The evil psychiatrist is testifying that she wanted to have children with this guy and was picking out names for them.
No punishment is harsh enough for him.
