Libs Falling Over Selves to Highlight Palinisms, Still Can’t Speak Austrian

The main tactic used by the left against the right is to characterize any candidate, no matter how educated or intelligent, as a boob.

They have made an industry out of George Bush's speaking errors. And now, they are throttling up the campaign against Gov. Sarah Palin.

The most recent is when she accidentally said, "North Korea" when she meant "South Korea."

Palin misspoke, but this was hardly the first time. While malapropisms can and should be forgiven for frequent public speakers, it’s worth remembering what happened the last time America elected a candidate known for gaffes.

Oliver Willis says the mistake is "absolutely genius." Blue Texan pointed it out at FireDogLake.

And Mediaite writes:

Now, in fairness to Sarah Palin, she’s got a lot on her plate right now–a book tour, a reality show, and a daughter who landed in third place on Dancing with the Stars–so remembering arcane international details like which country has a lunatic dictator with nuclear weapons and which one has American troops can be difficult.

Maybe it’s time to make some notes on her palm?

Is there any doubt what Sarah meant? Clearly the woman doesn't see the communist dictatorship in North Korea as our ally, but the fact she makes this mistake is clear proof to the left that she is a complete moron.

Which makes me wonder: how many on the left can speak Austrian? Here's their false idol, the smartest President since, well, ever, talking in Austria:

And let us not forget his Sixth Sense moment a while back:

"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."

While Bush was mocked for trying to exit the stage through a locked door in China, he was a least not stupid enough to try to enter the White House through a window. But Barry was.

Clearly he an idiot of epic magnitude.

Do I need to go on? Are you convinced that Obama is at least sub par on the intellect scale yet?

How about his brilliant analysis of the problems in the Middle East? When questioned in Tampa in early in 2010, he summed up the issue thusly:

"The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries."

That is not completely true. As much as they went after Newt Gingrich following the 1994 elections, they never questioned his intelligence. In that case, it was obvious to them that such an approach would not stick. They will only target opponents who they think can be successfully tagged with this label. Gingrich was tarred with the image as a power hungry, unethical egomaniac because that was the image they thought that they could make stick. The image they tagged the George H.W. Bush was that of an distant out of touch elitist. Again, they did not go after him as an ignorant lightweight. They tried to tie the dumb label to Reagan, but were unable to get it to stick in the minds of the public. The key is to pick an image that they can make stick in the eyes of the public.

I was watching Shepard Smith on Fox today, and he made some snide remark about Palin. He not only brought up the North/South Korea misspeak, but he then laughed while saying that “this is the same person who didn’t know that there was a North and South Korea,” when reporting on Sarah’s having said she could defeat Obama.
Needless to say, I skipped the rest of his report. I swear, Shep always seems to be auditioning for NBC news. Which, with all of his mistakes, is laughable. OTOH, he may be just ignorant enough to be a good NBC anchorman.
