I would ask Rush for the same thing I've sought from everybody who claims it was a missle - some iota of proof that it was a missle. Something beyond mad analysis of the the thoroughly edited "raw" CBS tape that is out there and proves nothing.

I actually had one guy tell me on this forum that the fact that no air traffic controllers say they saw the missle on radar is proof that it was a missle!

I didn't even bother to respond. Some people are just lost. Bring the proof please, Rush.

You certainly didn't. Maybe because you didn't actually ASK directly an air traffic controller who works the L.A. area whether it was a missile or not, and therefore didn't receive an evasive answer that spoke volumes.

Could you provide links to all the blogs and forums where established, verifiable L.A. area air traffic controllers are posting publicly and discussing this? If so, surely you'd be able to excerpt comments where they're hooting with laughter at the gullibility of "kooks" thinking it was a missile. Surely you'd be able to point to ATCs who feel duty-bound to reassure an understandably frightened populace not to worry, that it really was an airliner.

But you carefully avoided responding, and also blew off some pretty pointed questions. Here it was, if you recall, from another thread days ago:

Dead asks: Can you believe that every air traffic controller in California would lie too? None of them saw anything resembling a missle.
I queried: Where have you seen public commentary on this particular incident made by L.A. airspace air traffic controllers?

****CRICKETS******

Dead speculates: Any commerical fisherman or casual pleasure boater would also have to keep the secret if he saw a missle enter or exit the sea.
I query back: How many miles from a commercial or pleasure boat can you see before the curvature of the earth makes something (at sea level) out of view?

****CRICKETS*** (the correct answer is seven miles) I've been on a commercial fishing boat plenty of times in the Channel Islands. I know how small is the handful of possible witnesses to which dead refers as if they were legion. Of that tiny handful of possibilities, an even tinier number would be inclined to post on the internet or demand coverage from local media.

Dead speculates: The 4,000 or so residents of Catalina Island certainly must have noticed and ICBM exploding from the sea right next to their homes.
I inqure: What do the people of Avalon see when they look west or northwest? ****CRICKETS****

(correct answer: Mountains. Steep, overshadowing mountains.)
