Huckabee: Palin “May Run Away With It”
Mike Huckabee was in Iowa today for an event with an Iowa social conservative group that he made clear was a political event. In numerous statements, he has implied as strong as he is can that he is gearing up for another run at the White House in 2012. He even sent a “secret” signal to his supporters by wearing a purple tie. An inside joke among his devotes is that wearing a purple tie is a signal that he is likely running in 2012.
In his meeting with reporters, he indicated that he certainly takes a potential challenge from Sarah Palin seriously. From the Des Moines Register blog…
“No question, she will be a very, very strong presence and force, if she gets in,” Huckabee told reporters in Des Moines Sunday. “You know, she may run away with it. And that’s one of those things everyone needs to be prepared for.”
“If I get in, I prefer she not and that she endorse me,” Huckabee then joked.
Palin will be in Little Rock for her book tour on Tuesday, November 30 at 5:30 pm at Sam’s. No word if she will meet with the press but this might be something to ask her about.
Depends on who it is. She needs to pick a southern evangelical type, one that can identify with the black, southern, church-going voter. This should secure enough of the black vote to counter Obummer's race cards in borderline states.

Palin is the absolute best we have. She could fill up any basketball arena in the country with a 12 hour notice.

But you further my point. Yes, she’s great at filling an auditorium. She makes a great fundraiser, with people like us. However, she’s polarizing as all heck. Although I hate to say it, she’s very much like Hillary! in that it’s pretty easy for the other side to marginalize her with the independents.
The biggest problem that any GOP candidate will have in 2012 is that blacks will vote for Obummer in large numbers, and in extremely large percentages.
