Palin might be wise to withhold further advance copies of future books while there are sleazy publishers out there doing this. Does she really want to blow mega millions on suing a known rogue behind whom the whole MSM will muster themselves? She can probably think of better uses for that money.

Gawker is a real piece of work. I get the impression that its staffed by people who never matured much beyond high school adolescence. Pull-my-finger-lol-lol-lol types.

Gawker did not immediately respond to e-mails seeking comment Friday evening, but an item published the day before and titled "Sarah Palin Is Mad at Us for Leaking Pages From Her Book" defended the blog's actions and linked to websites defining the fair use doctrine of copyright law.

There's no "fair use" about it---Sarah is now a private citizen and Gawker illegally re-published to the web protected portions of her copyrighted work. This illustrates the sheer genius behind her decision to resign as governor and take the fight to the MSM as a private citizen---outfits like the Gawker can't treat her like a public official and defenseless punching bag anymore.

Sue their pants off!

She needs to pick a target and make an example of them. Gawker is as good as any.

There's no one hungrier to sue than a defendant who has been continually victimized by crooked, rapacious trial lawyers. Only the ideal defendant is a rapacious trial lawyer.

Might be almost as much fun as shooting wolves from a helicopter.

The idiots at Gawker should have known what was coming after Palin tweeted the question, "Isn't that illegal?"

Tweet from Rebecca Mansour: Dear Gawker, when she asks a rhetorical question,it's cuz we're about to deliver the answer.Have fun w HarprCollns' lawyrs http://is.gd/hstI6

Why sue Gawker? Because they've got big-bucks financial backing. Looks like HarperCollins is serious.
