Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- Fresh off the monumental defeat President Obama faced in the midterm elections, he’s right back at it again.
He’s nominated yet another Chicago-trained, anti-gunner to be a member of his administration.
According to David Codrea at the Gun Rights Examiner, President Obama has nominated Brady Campaign-backed Andrew Traver to be the new head of the ATF.
The threat is still out there. The good news is that Mr. Obama must get Mr. Traver confirmed through the Senate.
You and I need to put pressure on our Senators, Chambliss and Isakson, and urge them to come out against Traver’s nomination — immediately.
Please call Senators Chambliss and Isakson at once and demand they vote against the nomination of Andrew Traver at every opportunity:

Putting another anti-2nd amendment type in as head of ATF is like appointing a radical leftist as attorney general.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting might sore from the constant, unending assault on our freedoms from those who swore an oath to protect them.
Obviously, their words mean nothing to them, they can’t be trusted, they’re anti-American, and they’ve declared war upon the average American.
Game on.

Who is the current head at ATF? Where and when did he leave?
There’s always the recess appointment to avoid Senate confirmation but as we learned a few months ago, it wouldn’t be legal as long as the vacancy in a position existed BEFORE THE RECESS!!
He got away with it the last time -it’s so difficult to keep track of his slimey maneuvers that I’ve forgotten who it was he appointed but definitely UNCONSTITUTIONAL. I’ll look it up again for anyone who doesn’t want to look for it in the US Constitution.

Article II, Section 2 of the US Constitution:

Normally, the President nominates an individual to fill a position and the Senate votes to either confirm or reject the nominee.
However, in anticipation of the need to appoint someone when Congress was not in session, the founding fathers added:
The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.”””
Its really difficult to understand why Mr Traver wouldn’t be a good choice or even a different choice from the current occupant. The ATF by its behavior has demonstrated its an anti-2A govt agency. What would change if Mr Traver was in charge? An even better question is what would change if a strong 2A head was appointed? I think really nothing. The only productive course is to shut them down entirely and not move their operational duties to any other fed agency.
I’ll go a step further: abolish the BATF. There is no legitimate constitutional reason for such an organization to exist at the Federal level.
Why do you assume he'd have the integrity to do either? Expect a recess appointment.
Every single day another assault on freedom by the pan-Leninist Marxist Obama. If we survive this president without open revolution in the streets it will be a miracle.
